I've been in Dust a while and I understand where this is all coming from if asked my opinion on this I'm kind of a soft yes up to 4. That said I do have issues with those.
1.Back in beta there was only getting stuck on hills when you jumped into an area where you didn't land properly these new invisible wall glitches are something to do with the engine or something they've tried to make better but haven't. I know I've found 2 in the warbarge before battle alone that, needless to say were never there before.
2. KB/M Frankly I don't use it I've always been a DS3 user through and through. However I have met players who use KB/M and absolutely annihilate it's all about getting the feeling thats right for you. It will take time you will get angry and you will be killed as you go through trial and error just like we all did getting used to our controls. *Remembers back to when he first started playing* 2/15 ... good times... good times...
3. .... I'm pretty much all on board with that one match making is terrible.
4. You'd be surprised how wrong you are. The other night just because I was bored I decided to make a new char, using a full militia fit with absolutely no SP invested at all I was tossed into a battle. Since I'm not new I didn't get to go to the academy and went right to normal battles where I met veterans in combat some of which I knew and wore/used proto suits and weapons. I killed several and only died a minimal amount of times. Gear isn't everything once you have the skill you can beat them. That said there are some corps out there that are just absurdly strong made of power players who have skill and gear, those you won't be able to kill for a while hell even I can't kill some of them.
The rest I am just going to have to call needless input.
5. Vehicles always kill you if they hit you. It's big, it's moving fast, it's heavy, shields will not save you.
6.You don't need to spend ANY money if you don't want to. Getting AUR gives benefits mainly of using higher tiered weapons with less skills. The only thing you can get with AUR that you can't get the equivilant with isk are the augmentations. The whole point of Dust is that it's risk vs reward you don't run your best just because you can because if you die alot there goes your profit. If you're an EVE player you should remember rule number 1. Don't use anything you can't afford to lose.
7. Thats just a whine plain and simple I can't put that any way nicely. The colouring of suits and weapons haven't changed all that much from beta. They have tossed in new suits with white to make them stand out but the black protos have always been around as well as the green guns. Hasn't stopped me from killing people.
8... AFKing bad enough said...
Essentially my point sums up to. Skill is the great equaliser here. Some players have it others don't, and others again rely on better gear to try make up for it. Use militia if you don't have much isk, and really get a feel for aiming if you can hit the head in a stand of you'll win more often than not. |
