I have to agree with Catherine Archer. I haven't seen these points properly addressed by CCP and player's arguments against Catherine's points are weak. There is also a difference between constructive feedback (with a little frustration) and trolling. This game, for all the reasons listed, plus balancing issues makes it a huge let down. I'm sure tracks the amount of players that have tried and quit the game, yet we do not hear back about these larger fixes coming.
About 3 & 4. I agree, though it is funny to kill an expensive suit in militia gear, but it has no real benefit for the player that did so. In fact, you usually just lose the match anyways and get a small amount of SP. So the cost/benefit is out of balance for new players. BETA's typically get reset. I see no logical explanation for not doing so in this one. Beta games are for testing, not actual play i don't care if it is free or not. Give them a decent reward and reset their skills, maybe even say put them all back to 2 million and reset their purchases. I used to play some Halo back in the day and they had a good match making systems that tried to place similar experience players against each other. It shouldn't go off of equipment, but on skill K/D ratio & average WP. There can be highly unskilled players that have great stuff because they put the time in, instant battle should still be fun for them too. However, that still means that the battles that count, i.e. corp battles, will be open to newbs vs veterans. There is a qualitative difference between the for fun instant battle and the corp battles. What this system should allow is that newb to fight newbs and gain significant SP because they are killing each other and caping objective, which allows the good ones to catch up to the bad veterans. Of course you would have to do something and the very odd SP cap per week in order to do so. Unless you just reset the beta testers.....
5: But, then there is strange exploits like the LAV killing, every game has strange exploits. They rarely kill me cause I jump out of the way. The only fix that would be nice is that our shots would more easily hit the driver....then I would enjoy jumping out fo the way and shooting the drive. As of right now, it is just boring having to jump and dodge the drivers till they get bored or I find a spot they cannot follow me into. |

This is actually possible If youhaven't done yet, keep tying You can also take down people from dropships L8er!
Right... Yes it is possible, but highly improbably that one is able to do so. Gunners are easy to take out, drive a little harder. I was referring ability that Halo gave you to take someone out of the drivers seat. Just saying that making the damage transfer a little higher would be better. |
