Im a Forge Gunner and to be honest I see absolutely no reason to ever use the Sentinel Role suits. The Advanced Heavy Frame seems to be the best suit available for a forge gunner.
Its cost effective at 28k isk vs. 85k for the proto heavy frame variant.
It has 2 High powered slots for 2X 10% damage modules (very important for an AV fit) and 2 Low powered slots.
I can fit a Proto Assault Forge Gun, Proto Flaylock Pistol, 2X Complex Heavy Weapon Damage Modules, Enhanced Armor Rep, Enhanced CPU Upgrade, and Advanced Flux Grenade (and I am only level 3 in CPU and PG skills)
The Sentinel Advanced dropsuit is slightly cheaper at 13k isk. (57k for proto)
Only 1 High power slot so you lose 7-8% damage (not sure the exact number)
1 Extra low powered slot instead.
Has the same CPU and PG and every other stat as the Heavy Frame version.
You get 2 role bonuses for using sentinel suit - Feedback damage reduction which is completely and utterly useless for Forge, and 2% reload speed increase per level which is ok but id rather have the extra damage increase from a second high powered slot on basic frame. (10% reload speed vs. 7-8% more damage, pretty sure the extra damage would increase DPS more)
So my conclusion is Amarr Sentinel is pretty rubbish and pointless to waste SP in (which is why I haven't). You can better spend those SP on other areas such as max armor/shield and Forge/HMG proficiency. Unless CCP plans to add feedback damage to heavy weapons, or adds a damage bonus to one of the other races sentinel suit type (when they add them) I see no reason to give up that second High powered slot. |

I didn't skill in sentinel lol,  I just said its rubbish for forge. |

Yes but I explained the obvious in detail with clear English.
Also if it was so obvious, why are so many mistakes made with people skilling into it. |

I wont be skilling into any Role suits until they have added every races frames to the game and finalized all the role bonuses.  |

Was it hard to go on Sentinel suits and see it has 1 highslot, and a couple ****** racial "bonus". I'm all for helping new people out, but if people can't check suits for themselves and decide if it's worth it or not, then DUST isn't the game for them. This handholding stuff that people expect from CCP is a lil too much.
