Hi there. Due to the recent changes in the required multipliers for certain skills, I'm left with hundreds of thousands of points in a useless skill, and I'm a bit upset.
Before these recent changes, I was going for the Amarr Assault Dropsuit. In order to start unlocking these racial suits, you needed level 5 in the Amarr Medium Dropsuit skill. I did just that, got my Medium skill to 5, then started speccing into the specialized Assault suit, getting it to level 3.
Now that they've changed things around, you no longer need level 5 in the basic suit in order to start unlocking the racial variants, you only need level 3.
Now, why on earth would I want both a prototype basic suit and one identical but with a bonus. All skills with multipliers that changed, or skills with prerequisites that changed, should have been reset with the SP invested in those skills given back to you, giving you the chance to do it right.
This makes me mad. Now I have a massive chunk of SP invested in a skill that yesterday was required and now today is useless.
I submitted a ticket a few days ago asking for a respec, only because I invested too much into ammunition for my sidearm and light weapon. Now I want one for a different reason. I still haven't received my respec, either and now I'm both worried, and angry. |

better yet make a thread complaining about this 'wasted' SP in a skill that the requirements were changed.... for EVERYONE.....TODAY
u eat paint chips as a child?
Excellent post, you really wrote an eligible, concise argument. It truly was a great read.
There are people that are invested in racial suits that weren't aware that the skill requirements were changed. Many of these people did not request a respec because they took the time to allocate their SP right the first time. I too was happy with my choices but figured what the hell why not, I could take those SP invested into unneeded ammo and apply them elsewhere.
I was simply bringing it to the attention of players that did not request a respec but are invested in these suits, and that they may be losing hard earned SP due to the situation.
Thank you, try again. |

Thank you, try again. why thank you for concisely observing my well thought response to your idiotic thread. everyone and their brother, plumber and even zitro's mom know about the respec and that everyone, even including YOU need only to send an email to CCP and state you want a skill respec and it will be granted. No genie in a bottle needed, no magic beans to plant and climb to the clouds. and making yet another thread crying cause you haven't gotten your respec yet is simply uncalled for and I enjoy demonstrating such follies in an entertaining and enlightening atmosphere, typically at the expense of the OP
You're still not getting the point, I feel bad for you. Let me try to reiterate.
I did send in a ticket asking for a respec. Anyone who doesn't either thinks they allocated their skill points perfectly the first time around, are to stubborn to respec, or for some reason still haven't heard about it yet.
The point I was trying to bring to everyone's attention is that if you did not request for an optional respec, and you are invested in the specialized racial dropsuits like I am, you could end up having a lot of SP tied into skills that are not only not needed anymore, but are basically useless. I don't know how to make this point more clear to you. |

If that's so, then I should have had my points refunded when the skill tree was changed.
