Lets look at the stats.
Charybdis (Caldari Logistics LAV) 4 Highs 2 Lows 1 Small Turret 185 CPU 170 PG

Tried to fit a basic setup, one rep, a missile turret, a nitrious fuel injection and a local powergrid unit. Impossible. bare in mind the fit wouldn't last a minute against any AV whatsoever, but you can't actually make it faster or able to rep because you have a turret that takes a shitload of PG. How is this a balanced vehicle? This is horrendous. |

I'd spec into them if I could use one without a turret. Swap it for another passenger seat, I dunno.

Could have a multitude of things built into it, make it a two man vehicle (no third seat) increase its passive scan radius to like 25-50m, and also give it an active nitrous injection module. |

What it needs, perhaps, is to be able to speed tank. That is, some weapons do less damage depending on the speed at which you're moving when you get hit. Maybe not with a forge gun, since the speed you travel at already makes you hard to hit. But maybe for swarm launcher, and *maybe* AV grenades, though not so sure about that.

I think a % decrease in damage taken from explosions would be great. You CAN speed tank a railgun/forge gun. I've do it all the time on my alt that no longer tanks. But missiles will hit you even if they run into a wall/hill.
I want to experiment with the scout lav... |

Try a azeotropic, a ward resister and a Jovian. Why would you even put a nitro on a vehicle that specializes in acceleration, it's not like it increases your top speed. |

Relax... it will take month & maybe years to "configure system" of creating, developing, balancing things & roles. Core problem in game industry, is that there way too much ppl working at same things, & devs giving too much attention to satisfy players community... whining, qqing.
Players need to understand and get used to that "new FPS game". Devs need to understand that product loosing it's personality & attraction when community "developing" it. CCP is new to consoles & FPS games, tons of fails more than expected in AAA MMO product. |

Don't forget Jason, you're comparing it to those goddamn logi LAVs you whizz around in, which took me three volleys of Proto Swarms just to take down your shields earlier tonight.
This is just flinging ideas about: but perhaps if they had the same base stats, but received bonuses to different sets of modules, they would really justify their existence, because I agree that these Scouts are just pointless ATM. |
