A big shout out to SVER True Bloods.
When i joined i wasn't sure about STB.. It semed to be full of NA guys who loved nothing more than to copy my accent and ask me when my next 'tea and *** break' was..
But once I showed my face a little more, showed em us limeys could smash it up with the best of em they happily included me into the 'Family'.
'OMGAWD CHEESE GUINE' Yes i realise its a bit corny but honestly in my 10 years of gaming i havent met a group that has the same dynamic, we are all friends, we work together, argue together and die together.
I like to think i've made some decent friends this year, (Even went and saw Sgt Biggz up in no-mans land AkA North UK) and a true gent he is, theres plenty of guys who ive been talking to for months and actually look forward to chewing the fat and blowing stuff up with.
Some months ago I managed to get my dirty mitts on the first ever EU director spot STB has ever had, a true priviledge. With that i've driven the EU operations to new heights and managed to retain a fair amount of UK/EU guys whom have stuck around due to the number of EU guys on at anyone time. Im proud of that.
And thats the point, i know its 'just a game' but we are making something out of it for ourselves, maybe it will all fall apart in a violent ball of flames, maybe it wont. This is New Eden so anything can happen.
For now I will embrace it and continue to use my spare time to improve STB to the corp i know it can be. Im sure most STB guys feel the same way I do and there actions speak louder than words in most cases.
We hold an entire planet for PC, something that would never of been possible if it werent for every member of STB and Neanderthal Nation, and that IS something to be proud of.
From the EU Director thanks guys, you have been a pleasure to work with, fight with and talk with.
Finally we have Quickgloves, he lives, breathes and is STB. He is the driving force behind it and he is the man we all get rilled up by, we will follow him to the last clone. A leader, inspriational at that if im honest. I look forward to to playing with him for years to come.
