I'm not completely sure how this works but there is a mechanic where a hit at a certain block all "hitbox" Still receiving hit confirms but only hearing a tink and the attack resulting in no damage. Something quite aggravating when trying to knife someone only to see the attack is blocked and your window is royally screwed as that heavy turns around and greets you with a boundless to the face. This isn't only a nova knife problem, projectiles are affected just as well. Now not saying this is breaking the game for me. Hell I'm sure it saved my hide plenty of times, I'm just looking for something a bit more understanding. |

Yeah, it pisses me off when I run up to someone, stab them in the face about 15 times while they're backpeddeling, and they still kill me. But I'm a ninja, i'm not supposed to be seen, so whatever. |

I think it is attributed to input lag. In your end you get the hit markers but in actuality the target is not in that area you were previously hitting. |

That's not input lag. What you describe is called network latency. |

Can't say the forum isn't active. I posted this a few hours ago and this is already at page 5

I would have settled for that being the case, if the same block didn't also apply to those that are stationary. Like snipers and their bulging jugular. There have been times where I'm being a sniper, swipe at his/her head and get blocked. I make an inch of a readjustment and then they are a blood puddle. Still that said I'm not going to throw out that it could be network latency or lag. Though part of me still believe the fundamentals of this are in the hitbox set up.

Was that me greeting you with my boudless last night? I was hacking a CRU when a knifer attacked me, not sure how I actually killed that scout that easily. My HP went down from 1200 to about 400.
On the subject, I guess the worst are the opened up fences that you can't shoot through. |

Honestly trying to recall last night. I had a decent turn out but your name is familiar. If we did meet let;s meet up again with a knife to the back ;D. Food point on bringing up buildings. Buildings (especially control points have "odd" hit detection as well. Throw a 'nade on a guy in a control point it's almost 50/50 that they will take the hit or the structure absorbs the damage.
Also after a bit of experimenting, I tried shooting at someone besides them not actually at them and this invoked a block result. I want to say this "over-shield" lies right outside our regular hitbox. Still need to look into this more |

I'll see this and raise you a "I think my controller may be broke moment" (I just lost my original move controller a while ago to not charging up anymore and no way to keep it plugged in using the sharpshooter gun); there I am out of ammo mid firefight because my nano-hive bounced weird and low and behold I have an enemy right in front of me. So I start hitting the melee button, just mashing the crud right out of it, while my character on screen does nothing.... while the enemy is reloading and I am walking around them trying to melee. They dispatch me easily and for some reason after I spawn back into the match the first thing that happens is I melee the air 4 times.
Weird wild stuff
I am willing to chaulk it up to latency like the extra seconds they added to all grenade animation not actually working right and you are already cooking a grenade that because of the audio not working you have no idea if it is cooking or not, but if you don't throw it.... suicide. |
