Is there anything in this game that would have good use for the touchpad on the ps4 controller? I really can't think of any uses for it at the moment. What you guys think, Im sure ccp is trying to implement it somehow. |

Im not sure how they would implement that though, and I believe its a touchpad and not a touchscreen, but if it was a screen and the map was on there it would be cool but not very useful lol, havin to look down to see the map on ur controller would get annoying lol |

Would be nice if you could program custom motion gestures to call in specific vehicles/dropships . ie draw circle for lav, square hav, triangle dropship. |

I was just thinking about the hacking thing too actually...
Maybe if there was a pattern that displayed on screen that
you had to duplicate on the touch pad to complete the hack?
Increasing the hacking skill simplifies the pattern needed to copy? |

simply for moving the fitting you are looking at instead of using left or right.
Though I must say if it was a screen with the map would work pretty quickly for dropping orbitals especially if you could zoom in or out at different areas of said map. |

If the war barge map actually works by the time PS4 comes out, the touch pad would be a valuable tool:
Imagine for a second that all the squad leaders elect one field commander. Then, the entire team gathers around the barge map to see a wire frame layout of the next map that the field commander can manipulate by zooming and out or rotating. Using the touch pad the field commander would be able to draw paths they want each squad to follow, leaving checkpoints at primary and secondary objectives, color coded for each squad.
Once the battle starts, all the checkpoints and paths still remain on your HUD and can still be augmented on the fly by the field commander in charge or squad leaders after they ask permission through the orders radial which could be accessed the current way or by simply using the touch pad.
Speaking of the orders radial, instead of fumbling with it, you can simply use the touch pad to draw a circle around an area to defend, double tap a target to attack, double tap an area on the field to rally to, or an objective/instillation to capture. By doing so, every squad member within the proximity of the order given will receive minor WP bonuses, the squad leaders WP commissions towards standard orbitals, and field commanders would receive commissions towards an orbital or a much stronger variant: capitol class precision strike, which would be a longer sustained fire that travels the drawn path using the touch pad and can only be used by the field commander...
...or it'll be a total bust and we'll be stuck with that waste of space on the war barge, the orders radial will only be good for setting a defend order on squad members to farm more WP, and everyone will continue to use blob warfare compounded with CoD run-and-gun tactics. |

I played the hell out of Killzone 2... I don't remember the sixaxis sniper controls...
But I'm old and forgetfull so meh. Something needs to be done with fine tuning aiming...
I think DigiOps might be right though. I hope not, but not going to hold my breath. |

You know, menus, chat, map, radar, stuff that usually makes you have to completely stop to be able to access otherwise. |
