Well, my FPS issues happen randomly, there never seems to be a specific trigger (besides lots of tanks and mass drivers blowing things up). The only thing it reminds me of on a PC is a memory leak. When I restart the game it fixes.
I have a fatboy PS3, and I'm pretty sure this issue is pretty common with anyone else that has one. Due to the fact that I use a shotty, when my FPS gets below 10 or so, it becomes near impossible to kill anyone unless they run into me while I'm firing. Therefore rather than waste my expensive suits, I go into the corner and summon mass LAVs. I'd say I experience unplayable FPS drops about every 10 games, on certain maps it's a 50/50 chance whether I'll experience unplayable lag (mainly the central city maps).
Oh, and I'm already playing in 480i, have been since the day I started... after the patch lag issues have increased DRAMATICALLY. Based on my powers of deductive reasoning, I believe the cause is larger maps.
Regardless, I do not like submitting bug reports like a full time job so this thread is dedicated to finding others with interesting ways to waste time before that inevitable game reset that comes after experiencing unplayable FPS. |
