Speccing into anything other than LAVs is stupid. Tanks are the biggest, baddest things on the battlefield, or are supposed to be, and one proto forge can hold 6 of them in the redline if he's in a good position. These things will be lightly armored like lavs and slow like HAVs. Don't think they'll be any good, and if they are, theyll get nerfed right away. |

Personally, I think tanks are mostly throwbacks to WW2, aren't really aren't all that effective much on a modern battlefield. They are quickly being out firepowered by a multitude of aircraft, and are mostly left with their first role - soldier escort/support.
Now I do agree though, that MTACs, assuming they'll even be military, will likely be paper thin and weak. Who knows though, CCP can whatever they want with them. |

The mtac is was drew me to dust.
I play a lot of battletech and pretty sure I would have melted my armored core games if life hadn't gotten in the way...
I don't care how I have to change my playstyle when they come I will pilot them... if I have to sell my sould to socksfour I will have my giant robodude...
I just hope they kick for a melee attack... wander into the horde of reds and play clone goo soccer...
When they come I will be happy... and in about 3mil sp I'm just going to start hoarding mah sps for them...
