It's not some ultra efficient formula to outrun them. I can and have hopped into a militia dropship with absolutely zero vehicle skills at all, and I can safely fly around the entire match without worrying about swams. FGs and AV nades can still take me out, swarms do more or less nothing now |

In Militia Ships, unless you have the speed boost, you WILL get hit by them. Please, play the game more, fly more, and see before you make such misleading statements.
I'm between semesters and I get paid by my scholarship to go to school, so I don't have a job. I've been playing about 12 hours a day this week, I'm not making crap up. Swarms do jack, maybe protos do something but reg or militias do nothing. I've never lost a dropship except to av nades when I crashed while learning how to fly. |

My reply just got eaten... I'll try again...
Long story short I never said I was good. I'm pretty sure I implied that I wasn't when I said I had no vehicle skills, but since I just checked apparently I lied and I have 12,440 sp to get small missile turrets to lvl 1... Anyways, I've taken out about 10 dropships now with nades, and 1 with a swarm. You can catch dropships flying low if you're on the top of one of the buildings sometimes. It generally only takes 2 grenades to take out any of them, 3 tops (but 3 is the standard load anyways). The grenades start tracking mid air and so can actually fly pretty far to hit them. Also with the crazy spawn mechanics I've spawned in the middle of the red team multiple times, and twice been able to take out dropships while they were loading up before they could kill me.
This isn't about av nades or my lack of skill though. If swarm launchers are going to do so little damage that you need a squad full of them to kill a relatively cheap dropship, then they should be changed, or moved to a sidearm weapon a la COD. I'm against making them sidearms though, then it would become the standard fit and yadda yadda yadda..... I just think the damage that they deal needs to be looked at. About 4 hours ago I exhausted 3 nanohives (1 friendly 2 of my own) doing nothing but shooting at one lone dropship who never bothered to move. He also never dropped below about ~60% shields. |
