i say remove weapon variants entirely and make them all based on race, i.e. no more tac AR, we would have the Amar AR fill that role, and the laser rifle would probably be switched to that, and the Minmitar AR could be lower damage extreme fire rate, and the changes would just follow for each gun type even down to swarm launchers,
maybe this would lead to more broadly defined gun types, like instead of scrambler pistols and flaylock pistols there would just be pistols, and instead of ARs LRs and SRs there would just be assault rifles, like they did with the drop suits |

They are bringing in more weapon variants.
Current AR is Gallente, Nova Knives are Caldari, Scrambler Pistol is Amarr and Flaylock Pistol Minmatar. IIRC, they're planning on racial variants for all of these weapons, it's just they're coming SoonGäó. |

they might as well hurry up and throw them out soon so we can use em and scream about them and have em nerfed and or buffed to fit them in the game soon, might as well just call the actual game server the test server, i still consider the game beta |

Here we go.
They showed that off at Fanfest, so we will be getting more variants eventually, but I don't know the time frame of when they're supposed to be coming.
My policy with CCP is if they say they're working on something, just assume it's coming SoonGäó. |

Removing weapon variants just for the racial lulz is an awful idea. The Amarr deserve a standard usage automatic assault rifle, as do the Minmatar and Caldari. |

Having been told about the ship/equipment/module tiers in EVE, I feel like what you're describing will be coming into the game far, far, far down the road.
From what I've heard, Tech 3 ships in EVE are completely customisable, and you can pretty much assemble them how you damn well please. In translation to DUST terms, the weapons we have now [up to proto tier] are all Tech 1 weapons, with Officer weapons being Tech 2, and eventually fully constructible, customisable weapons being hardcore Tech 3. |

its not like if your gallente you cant use a caldari suit, it would be just like how the suits are, you use what u skill into |
