When in an LAV does the instillation track the driver or the LAV? Just got picked out of my limbus in a heavy suit by auto-fire from a blaster instillation...(not the first time)

Driver, I think. I've heard stories of an AV nade being thrown, the driver getting out, then getting killed by said AV nade. |

Aye. AV nades track the driver so I assume installations do as well.
Sucks having an AV nade blow up in your face, killing your suit but not even touching your LAV. |

the instillation is trackin both.. iv got gottin killed before by one sniping me out of it.. it then continued on to destroy my LAV while I laid bleeding out on the ground |

Whilst I like the mechanic of allowing the driver to be shot out of an LAV, this is a bit silly, really. |

I was once shot out of an lav by a rail gun installation, and the lav was left unharmed

but to be fair look at the size of you compared to the instillation. 1 round is probably the size of your head.. and if it was lucky enough to get a headshot then fair enough.. it just teaches us lav drivers not to go so close |

actually, sometimes closer is better depending on where it is first aiming. Sometimes being closer can prevent it from tracking you. |

I don't know if this is what the previous poster meant, but I think it's bad to have turrets doing it, good to let players do it.

Actually I'm almost completely sure most Av nade tracking the drivet claims are coincidental. Because not only would there be a glitch to let them work on infantry on foot, but also their splash is decently large. Also the driver would be killed if I threw s nade from behind the lav. |

I really think splash mechanics are confusing...I mean technically shouldn't your head's hitbox get splash damage from swarm launchers or anything else with splash damage? |
