I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't bother to look it up, you know me. :)
I'm doing a little more squd play, and looking to be more efficient. Anyone know where I can get a cheap, USB headset? I've been scouring Walmart.com, but it's not telling me if it's USB or not, and I don't want to waste money that I can use to buy a game I want, or better yet, something I can use for real-life purposes. I have a budget of $20.00, any number below that is fine though, as long as it's not so cheap it'll break within the first day. :P |

An alternative is to use one of those Bluetooth hands-free ear pieces that you have for your car.
They are not "cheap" by themselves, but if you already have one, you can use them just fine. That's what i have. And it's essentially "free" for Dust since i didn't buy it for Dust. |

There's a cheap bluetooth headset that I've been using that cost me ~$15 off of amazon (prime is awesome). Works well, doesn't get too much feedback, gives me at least 6 hours of playtime before I have to recharge it. (price rose slightly since I bought it, to the insane price of $19.34). Going on 2 months with it. Ear piece is a little loose, but you can probably minmatar rig it (aka duct tape)

Love the duct-tace comment. xD
I've never had the need for bluetooth (Owned surprisingly little phones, much less one that I can't hold in my hand...), but it seems like it would work. :D
EDIT: After looking at the link (I posted before I read...) It looks pretty nice, and specifically for gaming on the PS3? Sign me up. :) |

This is what I use
http://us.playstation.com/ps3/accessories/wireless-stereo-headset-ps3.html
It is only 100$, I prefer not to use those little headsets that only go around one ear, as they are so small and don't know how people adjust to those. This headset has surround sound, and is so comfortable. |

"Only $100"
Lol, I could've sworn I said cheap... Oh well. It's nice though, I was looking for a noise-canceling one, but it'll be mostly to talk. :P |

I just bought a cheap bluetooth one from Amazon for -ú15, so I guess that works out around $20-$30ish.
I have no need to be spending more than that what with actual bills etc. |

If you don't care about getting in-game sounds and only want voice chat and already have a headset for your computer, you could go for a headset/USB adapter.
Should look something like this: http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/USB-to-Headset-Microphone-PC-Sound-Card-Adapter/2507197/product.html
Once again, it only works for voice. If you want to hear your squad and in-game noise as well, then you'll need a gaming headset or else more adapters and a much more complex configuration that'll break your budget to bits. |

I don't have a headset. I have a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, but no headset. It is useful though, I'm sure I could use it. :D |
