Could someone tell me how the different AV weapons respond to shield and armor tanks? Are swarms more effective against armor? Forge more effective against shields? AV grenades against both?
Apologies if this has been answered a hundred thousand times. |

Swarms are weaker against shields, stronger against armor.
Forge guns do equal damage to both.
AV grenades do more damage to armor.
Flux grenades do no damage to armor, but are quite potent against shield tanks.
Plasma Cannon is hybrid as well I think, although I am not sure, have never used it. |

Forge guns, AV grenades and plasma launchers are equally effective against both while swarm launchers mass drivers and remote explosives are more effective against Armor tanks.
This is how it was last time I checked but if you're trying to take out a tanker you'll want to use forge guns or AV grenades since the rest of the weapons will have low low effectiveness when it comes to killing them. |

General here has it right. The Plasma Cannon is a Hybrid so equal on both.
And while AV grenades do reduced damage vs shields, thier vehicle homing and still very high damage to vehicles makes them still the grenade of choice for a dedicated AV solution. Flux grenades though are great when you want a grenade that will also be effective vs infantry as you can also drop infantry shields with it and finish off thier armour afterwards.
While Flux Grenades do significant damage to shields, you always have to keep in mind they can't KILL anything. So make sure to back it up with another AV solution either by yourself or in your squad. |
