That, and the fact that they were all terrible. Some of you take this game far too seriously. Trying to control people, trying to prevent your own members from doing things, like posting on the forums. Among many other childish things.
You all need to chill out, It's just a game, relax. stop being so butt hurt over some digital property.  |

NPC corps. for life, lol. This elitist mentality is especially viscous on console in my experience. I really enjoyed Planerside 2 while my computer was running. Most of the fighting was just rolepaying banter, people didn't often get legitimately pissed off at factions or groups unless there were hundreds of tryhards rolling together and capturing the continent which usually happened once a day but didn't persist all day. A lot of the leaders were actually really nice and would say "all right guys, we did what we set out to do, lets take another continent while the rest of the server goes back to doing what they were."
These forums are going to continually degrade into elitist corp arguments and all that nonsense until nobody but them are the ones posting.
Also watch someone quote one of us, call us "scrubs" and then post a short story about how we suck and they're the only ones that matter.

Dust needs to have strict leaders in Corp. Takes a certain kinda person to run a corp (real corp), strict, but still allow the game to be free flowing fun, politics, acounting, tactician...list goes on.
With out drama, this game would fail. It is needed to spur rivalry, make players try turn on their controlling ex-CEO, make players want to sabotage the corp their in.
But over-all you are correct, there are a lot of serious gamers, a lot. |

Yes, empty servers make for a ton of drama.
Anyway, OP, this is an MMO. It's pretty standard. EDIT: This is why I sometimes prefer games like Dark Souls to this one... You don't really talk too much with other players unless you want to. There's no incentive to talk with them. |
