I am, as well as one of my corp mates, suffering from PS3 freezes while the game loads. I get the loading screen for entering game or war barge and the circle just keeps spinning and spinning and the lightning keeps going. But when I quit game it does a full restart on the Ps3. It's a brand new Ps3 bought from Walmart 2 weeks ago, only thing on it is Dust.
Any help here? |

I had the exact same problem as well. I was unable to join up with my squad when trying to enter a match all because I was stuck in a endless loading screen which resulted in my console having to be reset after words. |

I was looking through and it doesn't seem we are experiencing a typical hard freeze. It tends to happen when I let my game sit for a bit without playing. Can you confirm if that happens on your side? |

That's hard freeze in MCC, mine is not in MCC, is not a hard freeze and is not related to the older models. Thanks for posting but the issues are completely different. |

Hi,
I think there're 2 issues here:
1. Infinitely loading of the maps, the fix has been submitted internally and will be deployed in the next client patch.
2. PS3 resets when existing the game. Basically this is caused by the game doesn't exist in time and the OS does a forced reset. This is still semi-random according to the feedbacks on the forum and we're not able to find a solid repro internally, so it's still being investigated.
I hope this clarifies things. :) |

"Client patch" basically means "in approx. 3-4 months since Uprising release" for anybody that's wondering. |

Not necessarily.
There are two ways for us to update the game; with a client patch (that includes binary executable changes, that we submit to sony for verification) and the streamed update that happens in the game when you are in the launcher (things like item balancing and fixes, new maps and game modes, etc). There are two "types" of client patches; larger updates that we only do at our larger expansions (3-4 month intervals), and hot fixes that we are able to move through the process in a few days once we've locked down and tested the changelists.
The fix that CCP LaFerrari is refering to is included in a smaller patch, a hot fix. This will be live soon (not tm).

Basically server-side patches aka hotfixes and clientside updates with meaty content additions (Uprising. Can you guys try to be more specific on what type of patch is required when you talk about this stuff?
Timeframes are a lovely thing to have as a player. Would be nice to know if something is theoretically plausible to deploy a patch in a week versus being something that's "fixed but can't be deployed until next release months down the road". |

What I am referring to are hot fixes to the client, i.e. smaller patches that still need to go through Sony. Server side hot fixes are simpler to deploy than that, even.
Yes, we love timeframes as well. :) When I say soon (not tm), I really mean soon. As in, we are in the process of getting it all cleared, and will push it out the moment that happens. You can expect it in a few days if all goes well with the testing. |

The game reset happens only, at least for me, when the infinite map loading happens. Talking to my corp mates reveals the same for them, none of them have had one issue without the other. I hope it helps, two of my corp mates and myself are using the slim ps3's, brand new, and the other is using a fat model.
Thanks for the updates on it, Glad to see progress is being made. Now to get you to fix the Duvolle shotgun showing the Creodon logo. Though clearly not as big of a deal :P |
