There have been a number of patches and hot fixes since then. This upcoming patch still does not list the forgotten aspect of DS prices being lowered. Thanks. That and Ninja changes. CCP does something very good in EvE online in which the patch notes are very detailed about what was changed and how. Here In DUST they have changed lots of things and just sort of ninja'd them in the game with no publication.
Every day that passes, this game gets worse. Every day this game gets worse, the less patience I have. I started Beta Testing in June, 2012 and I can say that the game back then was a hell of a lot different than it is now and that was in a good way. The game made sense, the design was good and the only real issue that I, personally, had with it was that the Swarm Launchers were OP because there was no friendly fire.
For the record, back then, they fired in a spiral fashion (like in the Eve Online Future Vision trailer) and did NOT require a lock. They were awesome.
Now, it's a generic, bland shooter with more numbers and a **** matchmaking system. Everything that is supposed to be awesome is not (factional warfare is still the same Skirmish game, PC doesn't even work correctly) and everything we were promised we did not receive. Instead, the developers cater to the lowest common denominator (the most vocal) and implement changes that imbalance the game in massive, sudden and abrupt changes as opposed to slow, subtle ones (60% in HP to Starter LAVs)
My patience is wearing thin and I'm starting to get annoyed with how this game is progressing. There is no lasting sensation that any of the things we do matters and it's not directly obvious. Faction Warfare was supposed to be a good sign of this but instead of showing us that our efforts matter they just give us more SP/ISK and a subliminal pat on the back by giving us a freaggin percentage value in Eve Online. Even then, you can only see it in Eve Online, so the point is still moot.
One year later and this game is nothing near what I expected it to be. It's just a bunch of immature kids crying and whining until they get their way with no cause or concern for the game's health. |
