hehe, now this i find very amusing. :)
We did indeed have some great games, but it's Southern Legion who really brought it to us, to them i truely tip my hat.. they were great games and they managed to make us lick our wounds. Absolutely loved the battles with them, 3-1 to them i believe it turned out to be and lost 1 district to them.. As much as the OP would love to make it sound like we lost more.
Although Southern Legion have done a great job at battering down our other district too, and we may indeed lose that too very soon.
Now what i do find amusing is how we're sat being casual and having fun with the battles, enjoying both winning and losing while others are taking it so seriously. Then feel the need to put a post up like this.. i mean really? What are you trying to prove, :D .. highly amusing.
At least if your going to try to gloat.. fight us yourselves.. you had Serephim and Synergy players and so many i can't remember too in that last game.
To those who defended that last game, i sure tip my hat to you too, we certainly struggled and you held fast very well. But in honesty... if we hadn't decided to hold back for a while the previous night, saying that's our last attack for a short while.. well we'd simply attack again.. win or lose, doesn't matter, it's just fun having tough battles. Afterall, isn't that why you guys downloaded the game too? to have fun? :)
Anyway.. well fought to The Southern Legion mainly, and Aurum Grinders, thanks for amusing us :D

Let me simply point something out guys... this is Dust 514. Dust 514 is an fps shooter. We all downloaded the game to play battles and shoot each other. Therefore that is what our isk goes into.. creating battles which are more competitive so that we can do what we downloaded the game for..
So in all seriousness, we just want to fight battles. We grind isk and spend it willingly so that we can have more competitve battles with more at stake than in the random battles. This is why we attacked over and over, and why we didnt care if we won or lost... so long as we had a chance to fight in a more competitive battle.
Seriously.. that's all there is to it.. So it baffles me Dias the way you can't seem to understand why we would keep attacking you and thinking that we're wasting isk. It's not being wasted when your getting the fun that your isk is paying for.. that's the whole point.
Conquering, losing districts.. sure it's nice having carrots to give you a drive..but at the end of the day, we just want to shoot each other. So i wouldn't call it a waste of isk putting more isk in because it's one more battle we can fight and get more of our members who haven't taken part yet involved in.
As for the who said what, who agreed what.. i really don't care, :) .. Sure i'll read it anyway and listen, but really a lot of it is hot wind.
The comment saying that we agreed to throw a game to prove to a mega alliance made me chuckle.. I'm the one who led the majority of those battles, and we were told no such thing.. and knowing Pyrex and Josh.. If someone thought themselves to be so high and mighty to demand a token of loyalty from us............. Staying on our feet would be difficult with the amount of laughing at them which would ensue.. :)
We stand proud whether we win or lose.. we bow to noone and enjoy putting ourselves up against anyone else in new eden.. we just want to play the game and have fun.. that's seriously all that actually matters, and to do that, we need opponents to fight, you were right next to us so it was quite simple... Someone to attack... cool, lets do it... Simple see :)
I also loved the comment 'Aurum what?' 'The Unholy who?' .. or however it was phrased.. i just read that and thought 'exactly' and laughed. Why did i laugh? .. because none of this really matters? .. who cares? really? :)
Also.. Killar-12.. i see you threw off your chain and dropped your muzzle... down boy ;)
Though if we want to look into why all this has happened, Dias, you really need to re-read your OP and try to see it from an outside perspective. :) It really does come across as a gloating post, you are essentially broadcasting how happy you were to beat us.. and trying to make it seem that we were desperate to keep up the attacks by hinting that we wasted our isk? ... lol. Hence why i found it amusing, because for one.. you guys did take a battering from us too, and we lost battles when we had randoms joining the team who stopped our formed squads joining.. so we had to contend with communication issues in one of them.. To be fair.. in that one.. you won very very narrowly and it was pretty much 3 squads vs 2 of ours and 2 runarounds. But i really don't care about the semantics.. as i say.. it doesnt matter. Simply put, you should have written your post a little more tactful i think if you didnt want to provoke people. :)
Let me use Southern Legion as an example... we've had some awesome battled with them which have been my favourite battles to date.. very close and so so tough and tense. Then between battles, their ceo and i have been sending mails back and forth between us complimenting each other on the other sides prowess. Why couldn't you have just done the same with pyrex instead of putting it on here? Not that there's anything to hide... but it does make it come across as gloating anyway. :)
As i said before, Southern Legion are the ones responsible for hitting us.. i wouldn't say stomped as we sure made them bleed too, the battles were all very tight and close, even the last one we had... clonewise.. they stomped us, oh yes.. but the mcc battle was how it went down, they won that with about a 1/5th armor on their mcc.. it was close. So even while we were having those good battles.. we were hungry for more and has isk to spend... so figured why not keep the pressure on this other district and see if we can take it.
In absolute honesty... if we wanted to persevere.. we would and we could. But due to the mechanics we're all struggling with in PC and the bugs with regens when we shouldnt get them which is happening to everyone.. etc.. etc.. we simply decided we'd have one last crack at you and that would be it.. so we lost, :) all's fair and fine and dandy :) So well done for keeping the district from us on that one.. but seriously dont need to gloat about it, because we could easily have continued and when the bugs didnt effect us in terms of you getting regens when we won the last one.. and also the terrible fps lag everyone randomly seems to get on that map.. if the game played out cleanly, then we'd end up taking it from you. It's hard to hold out on sieges.
But anyway.. i'm sure we'll clash again in the future and see what the result will be. We just look forward to CCP fixing a lot of issues so that we can stop getting frustrated over game issues. :)
In a similar respect.. you'd see on the Technical support forums that Southern Legion fell foul of 2 bad bugs on our last district, it should be theirs now, but the bugs in the game worked against them. Look for a post titled:
[BUG] Planetary Conquest Successful Attack. Target District re-declared but still ONLINE.
I'm sure they'd appreciate any more support they can get on the thread to ensure ccp notice it. |

Yep i was very suprised when i saw we still had it.. We lost by clones and by right that district should also now belong to Death Dealers.. yet somehow again after the match we had 20 clones? .. i saw our clones drop to zero and was telling my guys not to worry about it and not to disheartened cause we can alaways bounce back another time.. As we assume and hope that PC will eventually be sorted out with all the bugs and then we can dig our teeth into it again.
To be honest.. a lot of our guys get fed up with the lag, the bugs before and after battles in terms of clone regens sometimes not working when they should and then also work when they shouldn't.. We've been on both sides of the fence when it comes to that.
You brought a good fight Death Dealers, and once again due to the CCP bugs.. another corp misses out... It sucks. (Yes i know some may think i'm daft to say it sucks because we still have our district.. but i'd rather still have the district because we won.. not through having a bug work in our favour).
I love the battles.. but i'm getting fed up of the broken mechanics in PC. As are many of our guys as previously mentioned.
Fingers crossed CCP will sort it out, we can only hope. |
