The point of AWOXing isn't victory, its tear extraction and fun. I'd call Jenza's efforts an unequivocal success. Having read some of Heinrich's past posts they were generally very well put together. So reading this feels like having an esteemed guest show up in the Lecture Hall only to let out a loud wet fart and exit again. I'll just pretend this is one of those, "coming to the Lady's defense," instead of random douchebaggery.
No lets call a turd a turd. What we have here again is people who think they know what something is but really have no clue because they've never successfully done it before. Much like how Jenza thinks she knows how to play in a tank.
When you have players who only have a rudimentary idea of how a EVE mechanic or gameplay style works but haven't done it before they latch on to any semblance of something that looks like the genuine thing but really is a betrayal of the original design.Sneaking a player into a corp isn't masterful it isn't even impressive. It is a nuisance that seems cooler than it is because real espionage work takes time and effort and "skill"
See there is that word again SKILL. Seems our current CPMs fear anything that requires meaningful effort. The idea of placing someone in as a sleeper agent for a long period of time(months if not a year or more) in an effort to establish trust that can be pivoted to roles within the corp that grant higher tier functions and greater chances for betrayal.
You think getting into a match impresses me, how bout working your way up to battle commander role; kicking everyone out of match and proceeding to wipe out an entire cargo hold district in one attack because you kept suiciding and dropping links to make sure you burned through them all(yea long time for small rewards but its not about the results remember its about the narrative )
Better yet establish yourself as an invaluable assest within your organization that people would kill to have you in their organization so much so that you pull a VR and **** Goons all the while intending to destroy the people you were feigning your dissnet to.
See intel, counter intel, deception and subterfuge takes actual effort and skill. They require forethought and planning and the ability to play the chess game not the checkers board. Is it any wonder the players who continually can't adapt on the battlefield and continue to cry over weapons and things not actually broken are the same ones who want an easy way to sabotage matches without safeguards that you find in EVE, its because they are lazy, unimaginative and simply lack the mental prowess to truly put in spywork, they want the game to be easy for them because if it was truly like EVE they would be as irrelevant here as they are there. |
