I really miss EVE Online after looking through all the videos, screenshots, stories, and even the polished Disc case. But going back now would be another huge time commitment. Now I'm with Dust 514 and I hope it would be just as great and massive as EVE Online one day. Right now, most of us have to bear with the newberries when it comes to the broken toys that they can't seem to be patient about. When most of them are weeded out, the mature community will be here to stay. At least, I hope so. Frankly, I was embarrassed to look through the EVE Online forums where they saw our forum here with all the newberries complaining. But what can we do? What we can do as a community is to look at EVE Online community's example and just report the problems without whining the best we can and to remind the newberries without stroking any flames. I know CCP is doing all they can and they can't intervene us all the time when they have already said they're working hard to fix all the problems on the game. |

Ain't that the damned truth. Earlier today I spooked my corp about the likely possibility of our ISKs and assets being stolen one day. Most newberries don't know this yet. CCP's going soft right now until the steady growth and when everything's fixed, aren't they. |

Everyone complains, but I think the EVE community has certain problems that are very different from Dust 514. If EVE was in the early stages like Dust, then that would be understandable. But most of the community on Dust comes from FPS games, especially COD and they act like children or have ADHD. I can't deny that some of us who regularly play Dust and participate in the forum here come from COD too, but that doesn't mean all of us are the same. I do complain too, but I try the best I can to be respectful. |
