I was playing against a player I know in a game once who runs a Scout with 2 complex speed mods. My whole squad and I were focused on killing him for lulz.
And guess what? It was impossible.
His speed made it impossible for pretty much any weapon to get proper hit detection on him, I unloaded clip after clip into him but nothing but blue shields were the answer. Finally, we just took out LAV's and Mass Drivers and got him.
The thing is, this didn't even take any skill, the game just couldn't track the shots on him and he was extremely hard to kill for no reason. Even if you have the best accuracy, it doesn't mean **** if the game doesn't hit where it should.
Please make this a top priority CCP.
Can't wait to see how lulzy this Scout will be in PC. Probably damn god mode. |

Scouts are about speed, and the hit detection on them is fine. You do know that they get ripped to shreds by anything, right? A basic scout suit will die in less than 4 hits from a high-grade Assault Rifle.
Listen, Scouts are ANYTHING but OP right now. Being unable to hit them is generally a lack of personal skill, (because most people aren't used to fighting something that fast,) so focus on improving your tracking ability. Besides, you literally said that you ended up killing him with Mass Drivers and an LAV. Seems like this is more of a case of "waah my assault rifle can't kill everything!!" |

The sad thing is once hit detection starts working *I have faith it's worked before afterall* it'll be obvious scouts still need more speed boost. But yeah the scout right now makes the serve sync obvious |

One, I wasn't using my AR. Two, I got off at least 50 direct shots on him. None of which registered.
BROKEN HIT DETECTION IS NOT THE SAME AS "SPEED TANKING" FFS.

The crappy hit detection is not reliable though. Sometimes it works for you, sometimes against you. You medium guys dont need to worry about that because you can tank it. We can't.

I using the scout suit, the Minmatar one ( The one that looks like a Monkey ). Speed is great, i can fly around hacking, and dropping up-links very effectively.... But.. I running around with 70hp armor, and 140hp shields...
- If a heavy "looks" at me, i die before he even starts shooting - Every high tier weapon kills me, before the 1st bullet even touch me. - I died the other day, by jumping 3 meters because my shields where down. 3 meters !! - I can't equip any tier 3 weapons without adding CPU, and PG mods... and that means, no armor plates or Repair modules..
Trust me... you PAY for that speed severely.
If anything the Minnatar suit needs some love... because you need to be very brave to use it, and see you K/D ratio drop to -1.00 |

Learn to lead your shots for latency.
That way, the Scout has to be good to avoid your shots, and you're a better player. |

Stacked kin-cats have helped my dainty scout escape TAR fire in recent PC matches. Sadly, I get cut down the second I engage anyone. The Uprising scout suit is broken, but it is broken in your favor :-).

Sounds like the problem isn't the suit but the detection? Your title sounds like it's asking for a scout nerf... and they really don't need any nerfs. |

Well, the obvious counter to speed tanking is to flank so that you have two sets of fire on him from a 90 degree rotation, so to one player the speed tanker is always moving mainly straight insted of horizontal. Its not perfect, but it cuts down most speed tankers pretty quick. |

1) None in you squad obviously thought about leading shots. 2) Scouts have almost zero tank...sneeze at them and they die. If you remove speed, they're 100% useless. 3) You're lying about an entire squad not hitting the scout...I play scouts and if I engage an entire squad i'm toast 99% of the time. |

Er, did you remember bullet travel time? Guns arnt hit scan sure there sub light rounds but even they have travel time. |

Hit detection and Frame rate issues in general sucks. The scout speed just amplifies the problem. |

I know the OP sounds like our run-of-the-mill complainer, but this is a legitimate problem. I know two nova scouts, one of which runs proto sprint mods. Of course they're hard to hit, as well they should be, however when looking at their movement, it's as though the framerate of the game cannot keep up with infantry of this speed. It becomes a guessing game to compensate for where the scout seems to be, vs where the game calculates it to be. |

I have to wonder if the new "sprint strafe" thingy in the patch notes has something to do with it? Currently scouts are in a good way with the iffy hit detection/aiming/latency, pretty tough unless you brought locus grenades. They'll need increased tank if they are slowed in anyway, or improvements are made to the bugs. |
