i was wondering what do i right click on my viper to orbit my target and what is the best range, also is there any mining on dust? |

Right click anywhere in space, a contextual box will appear where you can select from various default orbits or even type in your own (which I find very helpful considering that some targets have different transversal requirements, especially when you are considering faction ammo). But be careful not to click orbit until yo have spiraled in on your target. I dont want to treat you like you are stupid, but I will describe "spiraling" under the assumption you are a noob.
Turrets turn at different speeds, humans turning say their swarms on you being fastest while a tank or installations turrets are the slowest. What I usually do is, if you imagine a clock where your target is 12 o'clock, I will fly towards its 10 and 2, back and forth until I am on the target, then orbit. This means you take the least amount of damage though it does slow down your approach, giving tanks time to align and jump out of battle.
Also keep in mind that if you are attacking a missile turret on an installation or tank, spiriling is useless, burn in as quick as possible but dont use your MWD's until you are in your orbit or it will increase you sig radius to the point that youll never get close to your target.
As to mining, im sorry I let the peopns do that, though I do hear DUST UNI has a great section on their wiki about that. |
