And i dont mean local chat since local chat is seperated by race. It can be kind of live that eve recruiting channel called "recruitment" where there are tons of eve players trying to recruit so i know it can work in dust.
All these corpless mercs out there would realise that they wont get any where without a corp. Instead of them having to look at pages and pages and pages in the coro recruitment forum section all they would have to do is go to that chat |

It's not so much about recruiting the public. You assume he's suggesting just a place for people to go find people and accept no questions asked. But there should be a place for recruitment to take place, like "I'm looking for a well equipped tank driver" or whatever and then proceed in a private chat about details. And actually this is something CCP should add into the chat box for everyone by default (with an option to hide it).
Also there needs to be more ranks within a corp, but most immediately a "Recruit" rank. This would be lower than actual membership and people classified as recruits would not be able to join corporation matches unless in a squad who's squad leader is at least a full member.

There was a couple of corps that had a public channel and a private channel.
The public channel was open to everyone, the private was for members only.
If corps want a public recruitment channel there is nothing stopping them.
As far as different ranks in a corp I'm all for it as long as different levels of access
or something can be implimented so it's more than an arbitrary title. Rank should
be a position of responsibility NOT status.
Though that might just be me... |

A channel means nothing if the people who are interested aren't there. Don't see what would be so wrong about CCP adding a default recruitment channel.
As for the second point, I agree that while a "Recruit" title would be fairly arbitrary as you would have no access different than someone not in the corp, it would still help the CEO's and Directors with management through their Corp page. And again I imagine this is something that would be relatively easy to add so why not? Not like it would hurt. |

EVE has an actual recruitment channel for their corporations [as I'm sure many of you know]...it'd be nice to have new players automatically put into a DUST 514 Recruitment channel so we don't have to resort to spamming public. Not only would we stop bugging the hell out of capsuleers, but we could also hit a wider population with any advertisements.
