Stuff about sleeping with CCP
Oh man. I guess you haven't heard the rumors about what I used to do to get the news I passed onto the community, then?
But back on topic : OP, you better add me to this list too.
Not only do I love it, but I completely condemn this horse**** opinion that people should need director roles to do this, and that people should be able to kick people from matches, and all those weak "MY GAME SHOULD BE 100% SAFE" arguments.
Sure, it's a bit easy to do now. But if a role to join PC has to be made. There should simply be a "Can join PC" role. -Maybe- A 'Can join PC as squad leader' but this director only thing is the worst idea surrounding PC I've heard since reading that clones would be your primary income and your attack resource combined.
This 'I should be able to kick people from my matches' idea needs to die, and burn in a fire right here. Kicking is a horrible solution. If it becomes harder (See previous paragraph) to awox, if you get awox'd you shouldn't have a 'mulligan' button that can easily stop it without any real effort on your part. That's just as cheap as the tactic you're complaining about, tbh. If someone worms their allies into your team with sabotage in mind, all the consequences associated with that should be in play. Any measures CCP implements about this should be preventative (See previous paragraph) but after the fact, you should have to live with it. |

I love these "PEOPLE WILL LEAVE" arguments that are totally hollow.
Dust has had terrible gameplay for more than a year and is only now showing indications that it will be getting better.
If people were going to leave... You'd think it is because the FPS part of a FPS game sucks, not because people were mean to them :)
While it does suck if it happens to you... Stuff like this is exactly why people stick around. The drama, politics, and just awesome stories about ruining a group are what draw people to dust and make them stay even when the game itself is not really that great yet. People wanted a FPS game that is about more than mindless shooting. That's why they will stay. |

I love how hilariously offtopic this has become.
One might even consider that the two arguing incessantly are the same person trying to draw attention away from the original topic to spare someone from some perceived embarassment?
Tinfoil time!
Who could it be? Could it be the OP? One of the CPM who have been hit with this 'insult'? Someone who agreed with either party!
THEORIES ABOUND!
Edit : Both of you should stop and shut up. I want to hear more people cry about 'awoxing' :(
Edit : Edit : Seriously, you guys need to learn to snip those pyramid quotes |

Nova explain how having the current PC mechanics is good for the game? How long before half of PC if 5 people sitting in an MCC committing suicide? Is that the end game vision of CCP?
I already said a few (Pages now, I think) back in my first post in this thread :
Having a role for 'can join pc' is something that should be done. But it should stop there, as far as roles for PC go.
But a director manually filling a roster for each match like some people suggest, or having the ability to kick people during a match is utter horse ****. It's not fun, and if that stuff gets implemented people in the lower tiers of larger corps will never see PC at all because the only people who play will be the 'A team' (and possibly 'b team') unless they're really starving for people.
I did agree that it's too easy to do. But I don't think it should be impossible to do without director roles. If someone 'awoxes' you, it wouldn't be hard to remove the role to join PC matches and kick them from the corp afterwards. But like I said in my first post on the subject : CCP should make measures regarding this preventative, not punitive. If someone manages to get 'spies' or 'griefers' into a match, there should be no "easy-out' option that simply removes them before the match is over and their 'damage' is done. |

Mobius Wyvern wrote: You're assuming that all Corporations will do that.
And how is having a role to allow you to join matches any different? That just means you only assign that role to your "A-Team" and still no one else participates.
Speaking just for my own Corporation, we've been rotating new people into each fight as they volunteer. We make a concerted effort to try and let all of our members take part if they want.
Sure, as soon as any sort of roster 'control' goes in... some corps will not let their lower tier play at all. That's inevitable, and I'm not really concerned too much about it in the end. I'll concede that argument was worded in kind of a self defeating way on my part, but I think the point is somewhat valid both ways.
What the 'can join PC' role does is stop any day-old alt from bringing a teamkill squad in. It makes some level of brown-nosing required to 'grief' unless they join a corp that just hands everyone the role (In which case they have no business being upset when people take advantage of them) |
