I use the assault scrambler rifle, it seems to be equal in armor and shields so should I use shield modules or armor modules? im on the adv suit so I have two highs and two lows, right now I have a complex light dmg mod, enhanced armor plates, basic shield regulator and a basic shield recharger |

i think the assault scrambler rifle is 120% on shields and 80% on armour but maybe wrong.
if you like being up at the front:
H) 2 complex shield extenders
L) 1 armour plate (dependent on what you can fit) and 1 armour rep
grenades and naohive
if you get your scrambler rifle proficiency up you dont necessarily need mods. However, many people still use them when they have their prof up. It is a personal style of you play.

Basic Suit.
Shield Extender
Shield Recharger
Armor repairer
Why repairer? The shield regulators do not have a hefty impact when its only a basic regulator. You could drop the repairer for an enhanced regulator but its up to you do the math and see if its worth it.
Why Recharger?
The base shield recharge on the suit is sooo low. You need a recharger to make it work. This might be different if you are using the basic assault suit and have the assault suit skill to at-least level 3. If that is the case try two shield extenders.
Q: Can i armor tank the basic suit? Not really.
Advanced Suit
Shield fit

Shield Recharger ( see above for alternatives )
Armor repairer
Shield Regulator
Why Repairer and Regulator? Stacking penalties + you gain the ability to not slowly die each time you fight. The armor repairer will heal you up in-between batttles. The alternative would be to do two regulators try it and fit for your prefrence.

COMPLEX armor repairer
Enhanced armor plate.
Alternatives for the high slots? You could possibly do one shield extender. Try and fit for your prefrence.
Complex Armor Repairer ? Only Enhanced armor plate? The complex repairer is a must IMO. Its the only way to feel like your not waiting for ever to regain your health. You could make do with an enhanced repairer by its not my preference. Why only enhanced plate? Its because complex's speed draw back feels too much for me.
Note: On the armor fit i showed what i consider to be necessary to make the fit work. On other suits i didn't list what level of gear it was fit to your preference/what skills allow. |
