So I fell in love with the flaylock pistol just recently and I was thinking how it works with the Minmataar assault suit bonus which gives you 25% sidearm clip size. Now as we all know, the flaylock pistol has a clip size of 3, and with that bonus it goes all the way up to 3.75. Does anyone know if that means that I will have a clip size of 4 or 3 with the bonus? Thanks guys |

As far as I know, CCP rounds up when it comes to armor and shield HP bonuses, ie. 99.8 becomes 100. Probabbly works the same for clip size and magbelt, but can't verify that for sure. |

Awesome video!
Doesn't really answer the question. He could have lvl 1 of Minmatar Logi suit: 3 * 1.05 = 3.15 rounded up to 4 (implying that clipsize always rounds up) Or he could have lvl 5 of Minmatar Log suit: 3 * 1.25 = 3.75 rounded to 4 (implying that clipsize is not truncated)
There is no answer, on whether it is: - truncated - rounded up - or rounded (down below 0.5, up above 0.5)
Unless you also tell us his skills |

If it is a value meant to decrease a whole-number value, like CPU or PG requirements, then it is always rounded down. If it is a value that doesn't need to be a whole-number, like armor or shields, then it remains exactly where it is even if the UI doesn't show the decimals.
So yes, whether you have Standard Minmatar Assault or Prototype Minmatar Assault you will have 4 shots in a flaylock pistol. It doesn't make the bonus useless past level 1 though as large clip sidearms like the SMG get a good bonus per level, and there will be more large clip sidearms in the future. If you want to use it for the Flaylock then that's your decision, I still think having 1 extra shot is well worth it. |
