Here's my frustration... as a new player who plays a couple hours every night, what am I supposed to do after I reach the cap? The first thing I did was shut off my Playstation to go do something else. If I'm not earning anything I might as well play something else or just ****-around in the game. There's no reason for a cap, especially since at this point I'm only going to be able to train one thing a week it seems, because I'm certainly not going to be able to achieve any decent number of SP.
SP should be based on how well and hard the user plays. Some people grind, others don't play as hard. Who knows, maybe a generous cap like 1,000,000 a week is a good idea. Maybe 500,000 or 750,000. I can somewhat agree with a cap, just not so low. It's incredibly frustrating playing this game for three days and having already met the cap. A generous cap would ensure that the hard-core grinders don't absolutely obliterate all the other players and force some strategic planning, but it's not going to be as damaging to the players who don't grind every day for 8 hours.
Those who don't grind have to be strategic with their SP because they're not going to earn as much because they don't grind as much. But those who grind, with a high cap, will still be forced to be strategic with a cap on.
I'm not a huge fan of a cap, but if you have to have one, do so strategically. At this point, I've shut off my Playstation and am planning on playing Dust every once in a while now, since the cap is so low. Unfortunately, though I absolutely love the game, that might make me stray away from it.
I just don't see the point in playing a game that I'm being penalized for playing too much. That's kind of driving me away. |

Agreed. It's a great game, but again, I don't want to be punished for playing it a lot. Don't we want people to play the game a lot?
Another suggestion may be some sort of per-game cap? But that may be a difficult one to determine. |
