In Numerology, 514 is counted as 1, which is a leadership number.
5+1+4 = 10, 1+0= 1. Where the sum of numbers count until it becomes 0 and is ignored, focusing only on 1 digit number.
DUST is 4+3+1+2 = 10, 1+0 = 1. Another leadership number. This is alphabet numerology.
If Dust and 514 were added together, it would be 1+1 = 2. It is a sensitive, serving number. So, Dust 514 would be both about leading and service. That doesn't mean it's a perfect game yet, but with the success of EVE Online, it's not far off.
This is just extra, useless information if anyone is looking into more of the meaning behind 514. I wouldn't be surprised if CCP dabbled with numerology and came up with it this way.

sla in Icelandic means "to smite"

So I googled "Meaning of 514" and got something called Angel Numbers. It's total BS, but the number meaning were interesting:
"Number 514 is a mix of the influences and attributes of the numbers 5, 1 and 4. Number 5 resonates with learning life lessons through experience, personal freedom and free will, major life changes, motivation and new opportunities. Could this thought process be applied to something in the context (or history) of New Eden? |

I have no idea, I'm not as well versed in the History of New Eden as other players. However, reference Angelic, it brings us back to the Ammar connection. Additionally, the term Dust may have another meaning, one that I have a hard time making a connection with, but game developers are nerds by trade, so Dust could be a reference to Angel Dust, who is a comic hero whose abilities included enhanced strength, speed, agility, durability, and endurance for a short time. |
