I always got pissed at the merc's who where doing NOTHING in the battle but stand in the MCC. or at the ground base,
and i alays wondered why the hell they did this, i was thinking they dont make SP or ISK so why play at all if they do NOTHING.
Well a player told me why they do it and i got a big suprice when i tested this for my self.
I did this AFK. farming thing 5 times in a row,( just to test it ) where i just spawn on the ground and run to a safe spot, and then do NOTHING, no kills no hacks no support of any kind NOTHING,
to my big suprice i saw that i get somewhere from 60.000 - 160.000 isk and around 6.000 SP for every game i do this.
Can we please get AFK. farming removed from the game, it sux to be in a game where players are AFK. farming. |

Can we please get AFK. farming removed from the game, it sux to be in a game where players are AFK. farming.
I agree that this sucks but there are too many forum carebears who want this in the game. In order for AFKing to stop SP rewards would need to be given based on performance not time in game. Currently the lions share of SP is given based on time in game and the care bears dont want this to change because then they would not get very much SP for the game they play. There are have many suggestions that would give this issue but none have satisfied the players even when they continue to complain about AFKing.
TLDR:
As long as CCP continues to support time in game as being more important than performance there will be AFKing and nothing anyone does will stop this. |

I agree. This is a big problem. Technically it's not an exploit as a lot of people want you to believe because CCP implemented the SP reward based on time in match because previous builds saw players coming into matches that are close to finishing yet don't get any reward because they didn't get the chance to do anything to contribute to the match. Unfortunately, once the system came in, CCP didn't realize this caused many people to just AFK in a corner.
They did say they are looking into how to fight this problem they created. |

Make it so whenever people are inside MCC, SP/ISK/WP is not earned. Some sort of barrier around the MCC. But when people leave the MCC, it's earned. |
