They started making cash ever since they sell merc pack back in closed beta. I believe we agree with each other that the game is not damn near finish. I simply say they should hide behind the beta tag for awhile longer. Until it is in more acceptable state. EVE Online makes more than enough money to fund Dust 514, even without including the RMT market. |

EVE Online makes more than enough money to fund Dust 514, even without including the RMT market. So we just let the EvE players pay for Dust ? and let them dictate how the game should be ? when the majority of them don't even play Dust their self ? I prefer to pay for Dust myself, and let the DUST players dictate how the game should be... after all, we are the ones playing the game, not them. Nobody dictates how this game should be, except CCP. The point that I was making is that even if none of us invested a penny into the game, EVE covers the cost of resources easily. |

OP, you're kind of missing the issue. You, like a lot of our playerbase are looking at Dust 514 without realizing that this is a) a MMOFPS, b) a free to play MMOFPS, and c) a free to play MMOFPS built for the long run. Of course there isn't a lot of content available right now, no MMO, RPG or otherwise ever has a vast amount of content available because they're made to be built on after an extended period of time. This isn't one of thos AAA floozies that puts out when you flash $60 and another $40 to have their sister DLC come over too. Dust is that girl you see at a party, she may not be a supermodel, but she's still pretty. You talk to her for a bit, get her number, get to know her, date her for a while and.... you get the point. Dust 514 is a commitment, and like fine wine, it will continue to get better and better. Just gotta be patient. |

EVE Online started off as a spreadsheet and a screensaver. Look at how big it is after 10 years. Watch how much Dust changes a year from now. I bet it won't look like the same game. |
