This is planned already, if you go into the Call menu (right on d-pad), you should see one option that says Installation, that's what they are |

Yesterday I saw my teammates getting bombarded by a "Tactical Strike", it was very different from the typical precision strike orbital bombardment.

EVE orbitals have those variants right now - one of each type you mentioned specifically, in fact. You have to equip special ammo to your ship's Small turrets to shoot at a DUST match, here are the ones so far:
Tactical EMP (projectile): acts like a massive flux grenade. If your enemy is mostly Caldari/Minmatar, this is a good strike option as it has the widest radius of the three current types.
Tactical Hybrid: large-radius, medium-damage strike. Good for beating back an infantry assault or clearing an open-sky facility.
Tactical Laser: small-radius, high-damage. Have an enemy HAV in your face? just wipe the smile off his with this ammunition! Also great for urban CQC environments. |
