Let's get real here. They're two entirely different vehicles that operate in entirely different ways. I shouldnt be forced to put like over a million sp into something like that. Having to max LAVs for HAVs is like requiring all heavies to get proto assault first. Sure you'd think it would make sense, but in reality using an armored jeep would have no real effect on being a good tank driver. And will they make dropship pilots be required to skill into light fighters first? I know some skills are being changed... Hope this is one. |

I actually like it this way, more LAV specialists exist because of it. |

idc about the lav skill but i do care about the pg skill they took out, now my tank is worthless, i cant fit it well with only 2300 pg on my shield tanks when 1100 pg goes to my nuetron blaster and an extra 200 goes to my little turrets, i cant fit a heavy shield and booster on thier... |

The progression is the progression, I can see the logic of being skilled in a LAV before being able to learn bigger vehicles. If you want to be a vehicle specialist, why should you get to jump right to the tanks? |

I've said this before they are going the same route as eve.
Frig-destroyer-cruiser-battle cruiser-battleship-capital ship
In dust you too will probably progress
Lav-mav-hav (for both ground and aerial)
It's not so much about that you want to drive/pilot them hut that you can. In the future when we have tons of map types with different terrain and effdcts your several million isk sagaris may not be the vehicle of choice
Just like in eve. Just because I can fly a full t2 fit machariel doesn't mean that doing so wil be profitable or desireable...
