As the CEO id like to say well done for playing a tactic that was brought up by myself at several round tables at Fanfest.
I personally have no problem with he implementation of a plan such as the infiltration of a corp. That is all part of being in New Eden, where I've lived now for over 4 years.
However this particular way of infiltrating a PC match is going to be be serverly curtailed and soon enough your going to have to work a lot harder to be able to pull this off again. Now, you'd know this if you been paying attention to various sources. A roster system and a new role being added allowing the kicking of a player from a crop match is under discussion.
Announcing how you 'accomplished' a laughably easy, soon to plugged exploit seems misguided as far as advertising your 'services' is concerned.
As has been already mentioned by many on this thread so far, DUST University has always had an open door policy, your alleged skill as an infiltrator is currently based on the ingenious exploit of simply being invited to join on application. Hardly the work of someone claiming to be the New Eden equilivant of Kim Philby.
As to the matter of a ransom I urge you to dream a little bigger. 100m ISK, while a not inconsiderable sum in Dust, is rather pitiful in comparison to the wallets of even a modestly funded corp such as ours.
As to if SI actually employed you, I can not say. But it seems to me that their leadership is smart enough to know that employing such a tactic on what is recognised as training corp is going to make themselves look rather weak in the eyes of those that might only make a cursory glance in this matter. So I'm inclined to believe, on reflection, they very likely had nothing to do with this.
All this incident has done is to alert other corps as to this possible exploit and how to do it themselves, saving the cost of paying you to do it.
I would suggest to you that as a marketing campaign, what you've accomplished here is the New Eden equilivant of new recipe Coca Cola.
And do your research next time.. Everyone in New Eden knows, though apparently not your good selves, that E-UNI and by inference D-UNI don't pay ransoms.
Good day to you. o7 |
