Pardon my ignorance. I am having a tough time wrapping my mind around all of this. I am a new (terrible) player.
I chose Minmatar as my first character's race.
Does this determine my racial bonuses? How about anything statistically for my character?
Will this limit what dropsuits I can equip in anyway? Or other inventory items?
Are the racial bonuses tied to _my_ race or are they just tied to the dropsuit? (I see dropsuits that have the Race prefixed in the name. All too expensive for me)
Thank you very much for any help you can give me.

Tim Race of your character haw zero impact beyond what starter fits you get. You can easily buy and other starter fits with idk but there not bpos. |

Your race starts you off with different militia starter fits (in terms of the suit).
For example, I am Gallante, so my militia assault suit has more module space (3) to upgrade armor and speed/endurance. Though, I have no module spaces to upgrade my weapons damage, melee damage or shields.
Your merc's room will also appear differently based on race.
Though, that is where it ends. You are free to choose whatever race suit you want, no penalties or bonuses will be given. |

They pretty much covered it. But 2 things:
1) Gallente/Amarrian = Armor Bonuses. Caldari/Minmatarian = Shield Bonuses. There's a huge difference. HP over Speed and vice versa. :D
2) There is no 2, I just realized you were in DUST Uni. xD |

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.
To a new person, the way people talk it really sounded like my race would determine a lot in the game. Glad to hear it doesn't.
Also, Artificer Ghost, is there something wrong with DUST Uni? Figured it was the right place for me. heh. We were betrayed last night in a corp match. Traitors demanded something like 100M or 100B ISK (In Eve I guess?) or they would throw the match. And they did. Kept killing me on spawn.
Thats the Eve way of doing things that I have heard about for all these years.
Thanks! |
