Currently the nanite injector has a quick switch option with the 'O' button tap over a dying player. This initiates an equipment change that then keeps the injector out, forcing one to switch back to a weapon after the rezz or failed rezz (not addressing that issue at this time).
Optimally a character carrying a nanite injector would not have to run around the area looking for a spot to stab. For that reason leaving the injector out right now is definitely needed. BUT, when that is fixed and a player would really only need to pull it out once because the success rate is so high and then put it away I would like the whole process to be fast tracked in an animation.
Meaning: Pressing 'O' would not initiate a true equipment change but initiate an animation of a quick switch to the injector, stab the area, then quickly switch back to the weapon or previously held piece of equipment. Much like a character was holding the weapon or equipment with one hand while quickly pulling a injector from his belt, or wherever, stabbing and the putting it back - as that is all that it takes.
I know that is will only be a benefit when the success for rezzing is 95-100% of the time, making the animation useful. Until then we need to keep the injectors out in order to run around. I just wanted to look to the future for fixes and making the game more intuitive. |

Most of the time, if you don't touch anything, the injector will be put away and you will switch back to the gear you had initially equipped. I usually switch to my core repair tool, run to the body to tap 'O' and revive, then repair as soon as it swaps back to my repair tool.
There have been a few times I had to switch it to my repair tool manually, though. |

If that is the experience you have had i wish i could have the same. Currently I still must manually switch to what I would like when the rez animation is finished. Perhaps it is in place but because I have to run around i cancel the effect... we will see when the rez box gets fixed. |
