The Merc who killed you is visible, the suit he is wearing is visible, the weapon he killed you with is not visible. Something is wrong there. Also, the damage listed on the screen is not the kill shot. It's the total damage he did to you in the engagement. Bottom lined, you got forged more than once.
I was missing a few shield from like plasma riffle or something |

forge gun. Breach: 2541 damage. Add mods. Hit "weak spot" of ship which if half the size of ship.
DS: 700 shield, 1700 armor. = 2400 HP with hardener still doesn't cut it : / |

I know the guy still got the kill, since it happens with my swarm, but technically the ground killed this guy, not the forge.
well the ground didn't hit me at 150 meters.
I took 3000 the other day from 600 meters though. |

I also have 6% resist on shields and 10% on armor from skills. It still only takes 2-3 shots from a strong FG to take me down, and that usually happens in the span of a few seconds, long before I can realign the ship from being hit, activate modules, drop altitude and weave and bob, while the FG guy is just loling the day away. Honestly, no forge gun should let you hold the charge, they should all be like the assault. Holding the shot makes the weapon laughably simple to use, and why many forge gunners and vehicle pilots alike regard the Assault variant as being the most skilled FG. Also keep in mind this is only a single forge. I don't know about the blueberries here, but I play 16v16 organized squad matches, and you get full squads of AV coming after you. If you're a dropship pilot, I'm telling you right now, this is your LAST warning. BAIL BAIL BAIL!!
Oh I know, I have a thousand different configurations. I'm still surprised how easily they all go down. You're 100% right about reaction time and already being dead, and how they have the second shot coming by the time the first hits you.
It's easy to line up multiple shots and having played a ton with FG, the charge holding ones are so easy you can snipe moving players as pixels at max range. It dosn't matter if you move your defenses into more armor, more shield, more resist, or max defenses at the cost of turret quality. You still have moments to do nothing but watch yourself burn and die after that FG hit's the map. |

1 - 2 shots from a tank and you're a fireball. Giant floating target. If they were physically smaller, they'd be harder to hit. Right now they're larger then a tank. Free rail gun installations are the most rage inducing thing is a pilot. Best AV weapon in the game, deep in the enemies redline, easily operated with deadly efficiency. As if rails on tanks weren't bad enough
If they could remove those redlines, that would be greeattt |
