Hey, i was wondering if anyone actually got the respec they petitioned for. I asked all of the people i play with, and none of them got theirs yet, even tho all of us petitioned shortly after it was made available. The way i understood the post, it would be coming in the next few days, but it just entered my mind that maybe we could petition now, but noone would get reset untill the skill changes go live. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Thanks. |

Yeah, basically exactly what you said in the end there. You can petition now if you want, but no respecs will be done until the skill changes go live.

If you are referring solely to the SP respec, no one has gotten them, they will not be available until AFTER the skill trees are reworked.
If you are referring to the Reset, in which you get all Aur back that you purchased before January 22 or if you purchased a Gamestop card for Aur and used it before May 14th, then no I haven't received mine either. |

Thank you very much for the replies and the source :) For the record, i was referring to the skill respecs not the resets. |

They said a few days once the skill tree fix goes live, not once you submit the ticket. So even when they change the skill tree you may have to wait another day or so. |

So the current skill tree is not the final? |

The current skill tree as in how the system works is final.
But the specifics of how it's laid out, which skills cost how much and how you unlock them, not finalised yet.
And the GMs have specifically stated they AREN'T giving out the respecs yet. We have to wait until whatever the upcoming changes are, which supposedly should be happening (or at least announced) this month sometime. |

Well, I'm only a couple a days in, was about to pull the trigger on the 100 dollar elite pack ... but maybe I best hold off, start with a new character (500k sp to be applied based on new system).
Frustrating thing is, that the online documentation for the Uprising release is thin, compared to a fair amount of outdated beta release information ... now with more changes, trying to study up and make smart decisions will be even harder.
I keep wanting to stick with this game ... but there has been some frustration for me so far. I can not image for you old timers

Nothing in the pack will change. Only the costs of some of the skills... so if you want buy the pack start accruing sp and when the changes go live you will have the option to change how you spent what you did.
As an eve old timer and dust "old" timer skill tree changes don't bother me... it just means new spreadsheets... I do love me some spreadsheets... |

I hear you on those spreadsheets. I found this site has some nice uprising tables which would make for a nice foundation for a new spread sheet (or updating the few old beta ones hanging around that still have not updated to Uprisings).
Well, I suppose I need to learn patience, coming from the PS3 world, in more ways than one. I did play MAG and really like the concept of this game. I just hope it will continue to grow and realize that CCP does have a bit of an uphill battle trying to encourage and maintain new console blood

BTW, just wondering if I understand this right ... even I, at this point, will be eligible for a respect, if I spend some aur on things between now and the "final system"? |

I've asked for a respec via a ticket 2 days ago. No response or action as of yet. I'm going to change that though today. I've been playing Dust 514 now for around a year and a half in one form or another. I've brought two Mercanary packs, and would like another go at it with my AUR again. I bet though they only refund me one Merc pack. Decisions, decisions .... |

man i realised I could be running a duvolle and have shield upgrades level 5 instead of level 2 if I hadn't wasted so much SP.
I mean however many thousands of SP just to get that extra 2% on shield extender module? what was I thinking.. I also wasted some by speccing into armour, realising I couldn't go any further with it, and then realising I don't want to put SP into armour.
I fail hard. |
