Our district at Osvetur V - district 5 was unsuccessfully attacked last night by PR(z)O at 4am. At 4:15am they set a follow up attack for the next day.
However, we were able to change our reinforcement timer to 9am, despite being techincally 'Under Attack'. I'm not entirely sure how this was able to be done.
A seemingly resulting issue now is that we have the battle timer counting down on the Battle Finder > Corporation tab with battle time set for 4.10am but in the Corporation > Districts tab it's showing as locked with reinforcement timer of 9am. On the starmap it has the little clock icon next to it but its status says locked.
Something's messed up here. |

I can confirm that we are still experiencing the fallout of this bug - after the last battle at 4:10 that we won, we were able to change our RT to 9am and then PRO sent a follow up attack. It is my understanding that follow up attacks always happen at the same RT period if declared within the hour of the battle (which I believe this was) but this attack is now scheduled for our new RT period of 9am at 9:20am. |

NanoCleric wrote:We just encountered the same problem.
We had a reinforcement window of 7:00 - 8:00, battle was at 7:10, we were out by 7:45ish after winning.. Between 7:45 - 7:55 i was trying to change the timer, but it wouldnt let me, we got attacked again by the attacker in that time period too.. so i thought maybe after 8:00 i'd be able to change the timer.. tried again and couldn't.
So if you dont beat your attackers placement of a follow up attack.. even if you won, you can't change the timer.
Can i please suggest the following:
- The defender has 1 hour from the start of the battle to adjust their timers if they win (Would it be fair evey if they lose? not sure).
- The attacker cannot place another attack within the first hour from the start of the battle
- The attacker then has a 30 minute to 1 hour window to place a follow up attack 'after' that first hour has passed.
- Once the attackers followup window expires, then the district is open to attacks from anyone.
I believe this structure would help corps maintain their district within a narrow window, also allow attackers time to decide if they want to attack again and secure clone transfers to do so, and then also free the district up to attack from anyone with a very generous window.
I should hope this would take minimal adjustments as the code you seem to have already seems to be able to provide time windows with restrictions. So i'm hoping it's a feasible and workable suggestion. If anyone has any critisism on it and can think of ways to tweak it so it's balanced / fairer, or a different method alltogether, then i think that information would be useful for the dev's to consider.
Cheers. I think you've misunderstood the OP here - you shouldn't be able to change the timer during the hour following the start of any attack whether you win or lose but we were able to. What you've experienced is not a problem - that is the actual mechanic working as intended. |

Further to the first 2 OP's it appears that our clone counts haven't updated correctly on this district. We lost our 2nd battle on the district by MCC destruction after 180 clones (we still had 200ish clones left, so kept the district). However, after the battle our stats were saying 394+80, when they should have been saying something more like 200 with no + anything.
We have now won the 3rd attack on the district and have a full clone count and it is no longer under attack. |

So it seems that the way it should be working is that you can only reset your timers 1 hour after the initiation of the battle... but if the attacker places their attack before the end of that hour.. which is also their window for doing so.. then you can't change your timers.
Which effectively means the only situatuion you can change your timers is if the attacker doesn't place a follow up attack, then as soon as that hour has expired, you become online again and can then set the timers..
If that's the case then.. ouch. :) Very narrow window for changing timers. Yeah, typically you'll have to beat off an attacker really badly or several times before they give up and you get to change your timer. Although, sometime they're not quite quick enough - a match can easily last 45 mins and then they only have another 15 mins to set another attack and if they don't so it fast enough, you can change the timer. |
