I've been noticing we need a more robust squad organization tool. I've been seeing today things were very chaotic with my corp trying to organize for a PC battle.
I think it would be ideal to group squads before entering a battle, similar to the fleeting system in Eve. It would also be nice to see a squad finder system (similar to fleet finder in Eve) in order to make squading easier in general but especially for planetary conquest. |

We definitely want to improve and expand on squad/team functionality in the future, so any feedback and ideas you have on the topic are always appreciated.
You may already have found this, but you can create squads in the MQ and add people to it from contacts. The squad leader is then the person that joins the battle and the rest of the squad will be pulled into the battle with him.

I think you should add a Team Leader role for battle in PC.This guy could set a objectives olny for Squad Leaders. In future you can bind this role with MCC and add more functionality but for the beginnig this small add will be nice. |

With as said Team Leader it would also be nice if their was a way to have multi-channel comms. For instance everyone is in squad. Team Leader can hit a button that then only broadcasts to Squad Leaders and vise versa. |

Not just for pc: I think the squad leader should be able to cancel a battle for the complete squad when waiting for deployment. Like he is able to do it by starting one.
Such a mess when he do cancel, but not half the squad follow... |

THIS ! Been asked many times and shouldnt work any differently.
Also, kind of a dream feature would be to have every member's default fit available to see for its team members in corp chat.
Press X on a character => See favorite fit => Pops list with suit, modules, eqt, weapons. |

It is a great source of frustration some times. We tried to sync a FW game the other day...it was pain for some reason. Not only because of all 16 player needed to cancel a badly sync'ed game, but was a good part of the issue. Recreate squad, everyone getting frustrated at the guy who didn't cancel because they are waiting there doing nothing, etc.
I don't understand why they don't have that fixed, should be as easy as starting the game with squad leader control. Hope you can push this a little to CCP for a quick hotfix. |

I really do think there shoul be Corp war barges where players in a crop can freely enter and leave then have an option to take all players in that war barge into battle ie PC. With the max players per team being the player cap With the number of war barges increasing and decreasing ahs required. So you have 0 if no one has formed a war barge but if a corp needed to form 2, 3...... ect they can create one and have teams being made in advance ready and be able to have a visual of squads and have their own team at channel. |

I personally think the most important thing at the moment is being able to control who is present in the battle.
For instance:
You create 3 squads over corp/alliance chat, the leaders have all the members in their squads waiting and ready, the queue opens and we enter the battle only to find a random member or 2 have joined solo and prevent the last squad from joining.
As a director, once your in the warbarge, you cannot remove members from battle, you dont even have the corp management so that you can remove a member from your corp temporarily if they dont listen to you asking them to leave the battle.
What we need is the ability to assign 3 names to a battle which will dictate the squad leaders who are permitted to join that battle.. or simply a way of ensuring someone in the corp has roles which allow them to select a person in the warbarge and remove them from the battle. So that you can bring your organised squad in.
Essentially we'd want to use the time on the warbarge to discuss the battle and organise for it. However.. sometimes you end up just spending the whole 10 minutes trying to get a random to leave so that you can bring the other squad in, so you enter the battle totally unprepped.
It would also be extremely useful if a director or /differentRole/ had a menu option to force all current team members onto team audio. As again.. it can take up a good proportion of time on the warbarge just getting members to read chat and enable their voice comms in team chat, even if they dont have a mic and it's only to listen. |

Mister Draco, from everything I've seen thus far, it looks like you are gearing Dust to be the sucessor to MAG. I believe it would be fitting to simply copy/pasting the FRAGO system and build from that. |

Using a "fleet finder" method for PC could be ideal. If able to filter properly for who can see the fleet it gives CEO/Dir more control over the battle and allows for speeder creation of squads. Lacking an active standings system within Dust at this moment the ability to make a "fleet" viable for a specific custom channel would be ideal. This would also remove some of the burden of organizing matches within an alliance as a single d/c of the wrong Merc at the wrong moment wouldn't cause such a drastic increase in the logistical burden as it does at present.

Very good ideas. It seems to me that we have reached a point where we need Team Commander role(TC). And I think that TC should have a very basic roles at the start:
- TC should be able to invite Squads to his team, and also squad to enemy team - in case some corp would like to practice on public matches, before PC match.
- TC with his team should have priority while joining Corporation Battle over players that did join Corporation Battles previously:
Now we have problem when someone from Corp join Corp Battle and then typed squads join the same battle, because some member of those squad will not join battle, whole squad will have to leave, and rejoin.
- TC should be able to set voice setting with single click:
Right now whole team have to work with muting/unmuting players on the team, member of squad A have to mute people from squad B,SC of B have to mute people from squad A etc. . I think it's need to be much easier. TC should be able to create voice setting over entire team including everyone roles, save it, and unload it even while being in the battle if it's needed. Creating suche setup doesn't have to be easy but managing between setups while battle have to be easy.
- And the last think, not so important as previous ones - TC should be able to set orders with the SC on WarBarege, like 'where you want us to spawn boss?' . |

First of all, we need a compass and the map needs to have a grid pattern. There needs to be a team leader that can use the map to set objectives for the whole team to see. He/she can also set the command to only a certain squad. Another thing that would be cool is if there was a wheel where you would select an option like, engaging the enemy, taking fire, or in position, for people who don't have mics. Another cool thing would be a "stay with squad leader option" where your character would stay within a certain radius from the squad leader to the best if his/her ability. |

Instead of R2 + R3 then selecting the order it should be more streamlined , similar like MAG( since you can't put an defend order on a enemy , etc). Like R3+ R2 then looking at and selecting a objective which would give it the appropriate order . Enemy thats not an capture-able objective = attack , allies = defend , capture-able objectives = capture, and not highlighting anything is rally . |
