Yes, though I'm not sure anyone outside CCP knows the exact number.

As stated above, Academy battles are based on WP, not SP if I remember correctly. Generally a good idea is to have everyone leave the squad and remake it. There are still a few squad-based bugs floating around and that may be one of them.
is joining as a squad not allowable anymore for academy battles?

I think that's a bug. The 4 you see are what the rest of the players who can't get into Academy battles see.

Academy battles are where you're going to have the best chance at success and the most fun. If it isn't letting you see the Academy queue, try logging out of the game and back in.

I don't think the collective WP of a squad determines if you can't get in, only the WP for each individual. |
