I think it would be neat if we could watch battles as a civilian. No weapons and hardly any shields or armor, able to be killed by either side. |

Only in gladiator mode I would support this. Spectator mode has no place in planetary conquest as it invites too many spies to snoop in on key tactics. |

You have a good point. But this most likely isn't a big issue since people like to Live Stream Corp. Battles anyway when Corp. Battles were still here. |

I also thought of the downside of revealing tactics. Maybe if you only had set aerial views of objective points. That way you would be sure to see action without being able to ghost someone and learn their tendencies. |

I would assume with such a mode you would only be able to spectate your own corp. Problem with that though is depending on what view you get you basically have extra eyes on the field. So it would have to be done like watching through live stream, from particular corpmate's perspective.

Live streaming as seen on sites like Twitch.TV are easy to manipulate by the corporation broadcasting it. Many directors have strict policies on who is authorized to broadcast which part of the battle. Sometimes they are even used to mislead the enemy if they are spying.

Great idea... However, I think you should only be able to spectate your own corp or alliance corps if you're in one.
Since only 16 can play, at least this way the rest of your peeps can watch the battle. |

Seriously though, either a 5 min delay or maybe PC battles are recorded and sent to the corp CEO so they can do after action reviews. |
