I was playing around with the TAR the other day and I stumbled in the path of this pro, mind you there was no lag or frame rate issues that came from the server.....
Who do you think this title should belong to?

No it's called an exploit because is utilities faulty hit detection as well as framerate issues and is massively OP even if it was legit |

This is all lag.
A few instances of people lagging that awfully does not invalidate strafing as a legitimate way to avoid and throw off your opponents aim. |

Funny, i haven't experience anything like that..I think most like is :
A- You PS3 is to old ( Get a newer better one )
B- You using a 56kb modem ( Time to upgrade you internet connection )
C- You are a troll |

Bingo.... I am not trolling...this statement is a fact, but it is allowed in the game and looks like lag...but it is manipulation that is refered to as a TYPE of strafing. Pretty sure only KB/ M is able to do it this GOOD. |

As a kb/m player I can tell you for certain that what you experienced in that fight was indeed lag. If the player was just strafing you would see them move from point a to b, however this player iinstantly changed location without any travel time.
100% lag. It is possible that the player uses some sort of lag switch to create that effect on demand, which would explain why the player didn't lag when they engaged you however that is purely speculation and cannot be proven. |

That's either lag, or a combination of lag and terrain glitching.
Definitely NOT just strafing skills.
If it had been a Scout suit, and it had been straight-line movement, you can do that without lagging because with speed-tanking, the game struggles to keep up sometimes. Other than that, it's lag. |

by the way the TAC rifles weakness is CQC (as long as a player isn't using a turbo modded controller). This is mainly due to poor hit detection against strafing characters. Relying on high dmg single hits is highly unreliable in cqc at this time. |

So your serious?....Dude that guy isn't some god strafer he's lagging big time, his ping is high as Shite. Making him impossible to hit.  |

Alldin Kan is a good strafer, if you are refering to who I was playing against......
I understand the whole arguement of it being fair, or un fair, manipulation , etc etc, ...it is what it is. This has been going on for almost the whole year I have been playing Dust and it has NOT been fixed, so it is just a mechanic. This is not the first time I have seen this ghost strafing happen, it seems when strafe is spammed, as mentioned above it creates a frame rate loss to whomever is looking at the strafee'..which was I in the video :) I use a DS3 and I can strafe, just not very fast. |

Or you know what I could do something truly,truly insane and possibly "take" a large solid object like a wall or a crate and use it to "cover" my person then emerge to exchange fire then return behind said object for protection thus making killing me a competition of strategy,positioning and guile rather than sauntering into the open and cavorting like a "moron" and simply feel entitled to survive anyway but that would be just insane I mean no other shooter does that right? |

I nominate most enemies I played against in my 6 planetary conquest battles today (won't name and shame, but they're in the top 10 corps.) Good strafing gun game with no team strategy awareness whatsoever. Vanilla ambush players with 10 + KDR that can't hold 1 letter for 10 seconds. Might as well change the subject of OP to "who would you nominate as the ambush master". |
