If they can do custom layouts, then can let us pick the buttons. I'm tempted to offer to code it for free because it's so damn annoying not to have it. |

Again. I don't care if this is an aging controller issue, I can use this controller with any other game. It's a "Free to play" game, I shouldn't have to buy a brand new controller.
Custom controls please. I don't want ANYTHING on either stick button. I will gladly sacrifice melee and some other ability to not have to deal with that crap anymore.

If it's not in the game now, it's still worth complaining about. Apparently it's not a priority, and it's BEYOND basic programming. Seriously. I've been able to customize my controls since the 90s. I've been able to write the code to setup up controls since the 90s. |

Battleground control scheme has it's own set of issue. Every "preset" control scheme has issues.
If sensitivity on R3 causes issues, than having "crouch" or "zoom" on it will also screw up your shots. In the case of the battlefield, randomly making your shots lower or cutting your movement speed in the midst of battle is also a horrible idea.
I for one would just get rid of melee entirely and not bind it to anything. It comes up so seldomly for me, it's basically nothing but a handicap in the control scheme.
Battleground also uses a useful trigger slot up with the worthless melee. Praetorian actually puts fire on a trigger, which is nice, but puts weapon switch on the other one. The various schemes that put only actions like grenades, zoom, fire, only on the R1, R2, L1, L2 are probably the best in that respect, but they still have stupid bindings.
It just so happens that every binding puts something stupid and potentially crippling to have activated at random in battle on the R3. Unless it's a southpaw control scheme, then it's switched movement there as well. |
