Been playing a lot of solo matches, now looking for a corp which concentrates on non-political squad based fighting. I want to learn and work with the in game squad order system but still be able to play the game as a chilled activity on the couch, which is why i prefer no mic requirements.
Info about me:
4,5m sp gal assault suits/rifle spec
k/d: ~1,7 (only solo)
been playing eve since 2005.

You're not getting a strategic corp without mics. Mics are vital for communication, and communication is necessary for strategy and tactics in this.

Strategic is a relative attribute, not an absolute state. But thanks for pointing it out.. ^^

I don't think you are going to have much luck trying to convince people a mic isn't important. There are a lot of corps desperate for numbers though, but even then it's doubtful you'd be allowed to fight in PC battles without a mic.
I chill everyday while playing with a mic. The relationships you build in this game are a big part of it. If you've played Eve for 8 years I'm sure you know that.
Another thing to think about when trying to get into a corp without a mic. They may be suspicious that you are hiding your voice for fear of being outed as someone with bad intentions. |

The Star Born would love to have you. We're always looking for team oriented players and while most of our members do use the mic for ease of communication during a match we do not require one. Being able to give & follow squad orders is all that matters when it comes to that.
