Congrats on the big 1.0, CCP. Been looking forward to it!
Onto my requests:
Since my dabble in the beta, the Restock option in fitting seems to have changed. Once upon a time it bought just enough items to bring you up to the number specified. For example, if you had 30 ARs and 40 dropsuits and you restock to 50, it would buy you 20 ARs and 10 suits. Now it seems that it just buys a set number of all items on the suit. This results in me having bizarre odd numbers of kit scattered all over the place which makes my inner OCD accountant chuck a wobbly.
The suggestion: Two restock options, "Restock To" and "Restock All".
The other thing that makes my inner accountant snap pencils in impotent rage is that there's no neat statistic showing the monetary value of what I lost in combat. at the end of a particularly gruelling match. This stat is (presumably) fairly easy to calculate and means big things for newbie and veteran alike. For the newb testing the waters of non-Militia kit for the first time, finding the line of profitability at their skill level shouldn't require a spreadsheet (although those can be fun - just ask EVE players who indulge in Planetary Interaction). For veteran players, busting out dropsuits in the six-digit cost levels and seeing the white (or dreaded red) net profit/loss figure will factor into future design decisions and dropsuit choices as well.
The suggestion: A value displayed at the end of battle for gross value of equipment lost (at current market prices), and preferrably a net loss/gain for the engagement as well.

Ooh... +1 to this. Hadn't considered that angle.
I'm now imagining an extra page to the post-battle statistics that has all the financial crunch, full of stats like value of enemy materiel destroyed and the like, and a sum total of who came out of the battle ahead in ISK...which, now that I consider it, is so very EVE. |
