Maybe they didn't want them "too good"? Gotta make that Scrambler pistol in the collector's edition worth the $150, right?
Really, they need to have an explicit stat dump on everything in the Merc pack, including screen shots. It's a lot of cash (relatively) to be dropping on virtual items with no information. |

Part of me, a sad sad part of me, makes me think this adds value to the scrambler included in the Collector's Edition. I'm a bit fuzzy on the stats, but aren't some of the Swarm Launcher stats off from Standard as well? |

There's something sad about needing CPU to operate a pistol. You wouldn't think it's a complicated device. |

Does the Dren pistol have a unique appearance? |

I liked the Ruby pistol, it's nice to have interesting looking weapons. |

Some of this stuff seems somewhat slow to be addressed. |

Rynx Sinfar wrote:Looks like the Templar pistol has the same fittings. Even on my cheaper suits I am cutting it close on CPU/PG, I just can't use these things. Are they supposed to be these fittings?
I am just confused about the reasoning. They are only marginally better than the militia, they are one of (if not) the cheapest weapon in the game. They require extremely minimal SP to acquire tier 1 of (probably lowest in game?). They are a decent weapon, well balanced with the SMG yet there is a well fitted SMG while a pistol takes 5pg. Not to mention 9 extra CPU.
You saw that SWEET SWEET militia-grade "Templar" Scrambler Pistol as well, then? Nothing but the lowest possible budget items for the Amarr Templar. Lowest bidder, etc., etc. Totally worth $150 I'm sure. |

Well, that's sad. They intentionally gave an item you purchase with "real" money militia fittings? Typically, the purchased items appear to have had a "std-level" base to contrast from the items you can get in-game. You can buy a militia BPO of most weapons in-game already (including the scrambler pistol). In contrast, Syndicate, Toxin, Covenant, Dragonfly, etc. goods have all been "Std". So, buying "packs" gets you +1 meta on your BPOs.. sort of.
There's not much basis for comparison with the Swarm Launcher I guess, because you technically can't buy a militia BPO of that weapon (though it exists already on every single anti-armor fitting). The scrambler pistol is different though, as you can already buy a militia BPO for it - and you already have a set of starter fits where it's likely to exist for free as well.
So, it's like they're selling you something that you effectively already get infinite copies of. It seems... not smart. |
