OK you guys fixed alot of problems since May 6th. But Nanite Injectors (revive tool) is still very much broken. This is one of the biggest problems in the game right now. In an extended maintenance post CCP said they fixed it so that people didn't have to press X to see if someone needed a revive. They didn't.
Revive Tools Major Bugs:
- You still need to press X to have a Logi see your down most of the time.
- The area (trigger radius), that you can revive someone in is incredibly small. Smaller that before.
- The dead body graphic is still not lined up/linked to the allowed area of revival (trigger radius).
- When you revive someone it will do the animation and make the sound but the person will still not be revived. (it can take 3-4 tries) Often the timer runs out before someone can be revived.
- Not as big a deal)The killer stats shouldn't show up unless you request it. Or find a way to make that less invasive
These things make the revive tool almost next to useless. Please put this near or at the top of your list of problems that need to be fixed as it completely changes the game.

You called it. Everything except the first and last are issues that need to be dealt with.
in issue 2, The "activation radius" for the nanite injector should be a decent bit larger to make up for issue 3. Issues 1 and 4 could be caused by instant bleed-outs.
and issue 5 is irrelevant IMO |

Those are all not really issues with the needle so much as it is issues with the new Call for Help mechanic. But yes, it is a problem when I spam circle and nothing happens. |

It's too easy to permanently kill our clones...I know CCP wants the highest possible rate of consumption on equipment, especially AUR equipment. It should require a deliberate headshot or explosive to permanently kill...CCPs plan will backfire. It is the hope that your friends will pick you up if you fall, it makes it ok to risk aurum gear. |

Its a 'General' prroblem and should be discussed as such. So STFU or loose twice as many suits as you already do.
My input is that we need a larger radius for the revive, unfortunately even when im standing on the body thats not 'close' enough. It needs to be quick to not stop the flow of battle and subsequentially stop people running injectors.
Call for help mechanic is still broken. I dont care if you need help, if i deem it safe enough to put my gun away to grab a injector its safe enough. Maybe not in every Logis case but meh adapt and learn people.

I hate to be the tin-foil hatter here, but the more suits (especially AUR suits) we lose the better as far as CCP are concerned, i wouldnt be supprised if its been made intentially harder to revive people to recoup ISK/AUR.

EDIT(Brain flash): Rather than letting people decide to be revived how about we implement an 'Except to be revived button' so you get jabbed and THEN you have a choice to revive or die. Thats it. An "Accept Revive" prompt would be perfect! I don't know how many times I've double or triple injected somebody before they got around to reading and Xing the kill screen and hitting X again to call for help (which is only sometimes required) for the injector to work...unless the injectors have some sort of intentional failure rate that I'm not aware of... regardless, the injector should always work. Further, I think it should have an offensive use as well. Maybe stick an enemy with it and they have a 50% movement speed reduction for a couple seconds. "Surprise! You've been injected with unfriendly nanites!"
I think CCP heard too many people whine about being revived into a firefight only to be killed again...but those kinds of problems should be mitigated with voice chat. |
