Funniest part about it is skill that gives it 5% ammo capacity per level.
Cause 1 rocket * 1.25 still rounds down to one rocket >.>
If anything there should be an assault variant of this thing that deals reduced damage but with 2-3 rockets |

Well it would be interesting to have 2 Plasma shots per Plasma Rod. Yes, yes indeed
EDIT: No to the reload speed and weapon capacity requests though, there are already skills that deal with this; no point in buffing the weapon to a point that the skills become just an added buff. |

It is supposed to increase the amount of Plasma Rods you can carry by 5%; ex. 9 + 5% increase = 13 and so on |

If only there was a PASSIVE Skill of RAPID RELOAD for the Plasma Cannon......
You want the weapon to have 3 ammo clip capacity ? Thats what some Forge guns have and you need to play HEAVY to use them. Is the price you pay for using an AV weapon on any load out you want with Damage output of 1000+ and even the ability to hurt/kill infantry.
Dont request BUFFS on an already good weapon or you will regret it.... |

I got 38-5 in my first game with a standard Plasma cannon and militia infantry. Got 2 LAV and 1 dropship too. RUNING MINMATAR ASSAULT.
The weapons is not even a day old...give it a break.What did you expect a FORGE GUN? The forge Gun's penalty is that it can ONLY be used by Heavies....
Its worse than ANYTHING you can think of the plasma cannon.
Just because you cant kill something doesn't mean the weapon doesn't work.

I think if they simply gave this a three round magazine it would be a beast. Giving it any extra buff after that would be overkill.

YOU HAVE TO USE HEAVY TO USE A FORGE GUN.
You can use the plasma cannon with any suit you'd like.Thats the real advantage.
Think the Forge gun is better. Respec today into heavy and have fun brosky.
But if you want to be able to MOVE and have a decent drop suit, use the plasma. 1000+ Damage per shot is good AV damage. PLUS the chance to hit some fatso in the face with it. |

Yeah the whole AV thing kind of gives that away... If I can kill a vehicle with it, I expect I should be able to kill a merc with it, and I can so it works that way as far as I am concerned. |

HOW long have you used the Plasma cannon, IF you have used it? It is a 1 HKO weapon on infantry, 1-2 on LAV's. It takes 2 shots to drop a Standard DROP SHIP, the only chance they get is while you reload to get the **** away.
Basically what you people are asking is a Mass driver with Forge Gun capacities and it will NOT happen.
Instead of saying THANKS! because now you can run Fully AV that works CQC vs vehicles (Swarm M dont) with say, Gallante scout , you complain... Pfft... |

I understand that, which is why I picked my words carefully and said "designed." It is pretty well capable of killing infantry in my opinion, but the main point that should be used for fixes and such would be in its designated role; however, designing a variant that would be slightly more effective against infantry than vehicles in some way would be an interesting approach to dealing with your problem :) |

Clearly no one is a subject matter expert on this weapon yet, its day one. I have played with it, the advanced model (I accidentally skilled into it after the reset).
Lets take a look at the LAV and drop ships.
Two games there were LAV's playing death cab and it is impossible to hit LAV's when they are moving, and now we need to hit them 2 times with this weapon? With a reload in the middle? That is a **** AV weapon. I didn't find any Dropships or HAV's while I was playing, I already know trying to hit a flying dropship with a weapon that has an arc is going to be very problematic.
Bottom line we are going to need more then a few hours to really find out if this weapon will work and what needs to be buffed/nerfed. I agree we should avoid trying to turn it into an oversized Mass Driver.
You could run fully AV with a scout before this weapon came out so its not like thats a new feature. |

Oh dont get me wrong, I am not aiming at using this in a anti-infentry roll. I simply had better opportunities to shoot mercs than vehicles. I think it does great at killing infantry for an AV weapon, no need to buff it in that regard. |

Butthurt? you could say that. I hate that not even a day has gone by and people are asking for a buff on a perfectly GOOD weapon ,and a nerf on a weapon that every time it overheats blows half of my shield off,( yeah thats you S.Rifle.... )
THey just gave ALL the drop suits a Mini forge gun that kills people 1HKO and 2 HKOs most common vehicles. Yet no one is happy......

YOU cant hit them with the plasma cannon. I can. Usually for LAV's specially MLT or STD 1 shot is enough. I might be OK with a 2 shot AMMO CLIP, BUT THATS IT.

This weapon already works pretty much as a Forgegun with less range, more buffs and it will make the Forgegun useless....

Yes we should avoid that.
SCOUT AV? yeah it is a new feture. i mean CQC AV. Swarm launchers are USELESS at CQ combat vs vehicles and cant Hit infantry.And some stuff you just cant drop it with just grenades. So yeah it is a new feature. |
