I'm a little disappointed in the implementation of faction warfare as of right now, as I don't think it is having the intended result of funneling multiple squads of experienced players into combat against one another. The reason being, there simply is no incentive.
Put simply, to join a match you typically have to wait on the war barge for upwards of 3 minutes, and skirmish matches take, by nature, much longer than ambush. Good squads will continue pubstomping ambush rather than put up with this time-sink.
I can understand that there are no faction rewards instituted as of yet, as it's still a new concept and all. But, surely something can be done?
I believe a quick band-aid to the problem would be to raise the soft cap from 1500 (with active booster) warpoints in a game to something far more rewarding.
problem 'solved'. please CCP? PLEASE?
... in the mean time, i'm enjoying mopping the floor with scrubs who wander into it, thinking it is the next step up from the noob queue. ... so it's win/win for me. |

Quote:It IS having that impact
now corps can stack entire teams and we definatly do
the problem is that single players are joinging up without more than one squad working together.
this is the only way we can drag multiple squads into the same game on the same team, that is the only incentive needed 'We'. Ha. Don't presume to talk for anyone but yourself and your meaningless corporation.
Respectfully, you are wrong. I'm happy you are finding it fun. Good for you. Perhaps for once in your meager existence in playing this game you are finally experiencing what it is like to 'pubstomp' against a nonexistent opposing force.
Stop and ask yourself why you don't see any recognizable squads of 6 and 12, on the opposing side, from more renowned corporations. The answer is because of what I described.
But I applaud you, for finally finding the joy in slaughtering noobs less geared/organized than you. Perhaps you could someday step up to PC? Or just stare at the blinking lights on the starmap in envy... |

I assume for a casual corporation, this means about 1-2 hours. So, in your tiny sampling of time playing faction warfare, you illogically assume that the majority of other corps are doing it too.
It's noob queue version 2.0. When I can go 20-1 running people over in my murder taxi, something is terribly wrong.
Oh the tears you will shed if you think this is anything close to PC. |
